When I came here, I didn’t know how charming Chiang Mai would be. It was called “The Rose Of The North” and I expected it to be a little metropolitan. But, what I experienced is the tiniest of cities city at the bank of a river with great peoples and quaint surroudings. The green is lush and the hospitality is noting short of grand. The temples are many and very varied. Actually, we had a full day tour just visiting temples and wats. The night bazaar is full and loud. I am glad we did this detour to the north. So much so, that tomorrow we are thinking of heading to Chiang Rai and the golden triangle to see where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. I will keep you posted.
