“Sen. Obama, I am not President Bush. If you wanted to run against President Bush, you should have run four years ago,” McCain said.
Well, he doesn’t have to be Bush.
I have followed McCain since 1999 when I heard that one of my friends from Wyoming was going to write him in as her presidential candidate. I don’t know where that friend is now (Ali? where are you?). In any case, I know that McCain is not as much of a conservative as most of the Republican camp and I also feel like McCain put the crazy conservative hat on just to get all of the voters who put Bush into office. But, because he did that and because of his horrible choice of a vice presidential candidate, he lost many voters.
It’s too late now, and I am glad. But, had he stuck to his old doctrine and picked someone who had read the US Constitution, maybe he’d be up there in the rankings. I wasn’t an Obama fan at first, I am skeptical still. I don’t have many choices. And I can’t vote. Maybe McCain’s strategy was supposed to be luring the liberals instead of fluffing it up for the conservatives. Because now, the conservatives don’t have a choice but McCain.
I can’t wait to see Michelle Obama walk into the Oval Office.

Me too. I like her.
