Vatican forgives John Lennon…

john_lennon_rainbowFrom Yahoo.com:

“VATICAN CITY (Reuters) – The Vatican’s newspaper has finally forgiven John Lennon for declaring that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, calling the remark a “boast” by a young man grappling with sudden fame.”

Really? Now? The Vatican has been holding the grudge since 1966? I doubt that he would have cared had he been alive. The question is: will a pacifist like John Lennon ever forgive the Vatican for the atrocities it has committed over the last couple of decades. Blasphemy is one thing, genocide is another.

“Sudden fame” what the hell does that mean? I know another young man who was “grappling with sudden fame.”

Have they forgiven him for the lyrics of this song? Or is it pending?
