What a great concert it was! I know that because there wasn’t anything to the concert other than the songs and a bunch of big screens with forgettable visuals, but the music sufficed to overcome all that. Alicia did her thing and she did it well. It sounded very much like her Unplugged. Then George came on and did some singles from his impressive catalogue. The audience didn’t stop dancing and we were always gripped to his performance. I was saddened everytime he thanks people for the past 25 (or is it 27?) years. It was his farewell tour. I hope he defines “farewell” like Cher. Anyway, I heard his new Christmas song. It’s blah, but if it gets him back in the studio then that’s enough. He is such a great pop songwriter. Don’t go away!

OMG – you were so close to the stage! Glad to hear that the concert was great. But I refuse to believe that this would be his farewell tour – purely from selfish reasons: I need lots more beautiful songs of his like ‘Last Christmas’ – the most beautiful Christmas song ever composed and written!
And how much is the ticket in the VIP section.. my sister went their too. but I think they are the cheapest part of the stage, but they are still happy. Is this the concert of george michael with Alicia?
