I always thought they used a spraying technique or something more advanced. Still, I know it must have been a cruel process. They always turn white when they grow up anyway and that’s when youngsters lose interest. I am surprised they never did it to ducklings. Maybe their tiny feathers are water resistant?

tbb-mnemba-789990Other than the absolute scenic beauty of this atoll with a heart shaped island in the middle, it boasted the best snorkling and scuba diving spot I have ever seen. Lush corals surround it and then a sudden dip into the india ocean. The fish aren’t scared and will come really close to you. The trumpet fish are huge and the Napoleons will brush up against you lazily. The corals are like rainbows and the species are endless. To top it all off, we went to another side of the atoll and swam with wild dolphins. It was an exquisite experience.

Reason being: I have problems with double-disc albums and I wasn’t in a sullen girl mood. But, yesterday I was stuck in my netted bed trying to avoid malaria in Tanzania and reading another sumptuous rant on colonialism titled The State Of Africa by Martin Meredith. I have to say that it is rockier than her other work, but equally tasty. It”s growing on me.
