“Muntadar al-Zaidi has allegedly suffered a broken arm, broken ribs and internal bleeding, his older brother, Dargham, told the BBC.

Mr Zaidi threw his shoes at Mr Bush at a news conference, calling him “a dog”.

A spokesperson for the Iraqi military says the journalist is in good health and said the allegations were untrue.”

I don’t get why this guy is being detained. He threw 2 shoes, none of which hit the dimwit. Is that considered assualt? And if so, what punishment do you give someone who didn’t inflict any harm? I mean Dubya got a shoe flung at him. So? He needs to be sitting the rest of his life in criminal courts for the atrocities he had done. A flung shoe is hardly a crime. Doesn’t even sound like a misdemeanor to me. Anyway, I hope the protests for his release continue until he is out.
