The single cover was fantastic. This is just really dross.

8Antony & The Johnsons are back…
I see they are sticking with the black and white motif. This is the album cover to The Crying Light and the person featured on the cover is Kazuo Ohno.
From Wikipedia:
Kazuo Ohno (or Ohno Kazuo, 大野一雄) (born October 27, 1906) is a Japanese dancer who has become a guru and inspirational figure in the dance form known as Butoh. It has been written of him that his very presence is an “artistic fact.”
A song for Gaza…
Gaza death toll about to reach 1000
It’s at 947 now. Two-thirds are civilians. The West is not doing anything and the East is quiet. This has got to stop. Israel knows very well that this culture of aggression will breed more violence, but they like crying “terrorist” whenever half a missile is dropped on them to get sympathy for their horrid cause. Treat humans humanely and then you might have good negotiations. What an atrocity!

New York Times rates Beirut #1 place to visit in 2009…

As much as I like Beirut, I don’t think they got it right this time. I mean Beirut has its charm, but it is definitely not the greatest spot on Earth to vacation in. At first, I thought the article was trying new things, but it totally discredited itself when they put Doha, Qatar in 9th place. Dubai, maybe. But, Doha?

India Arie unveils new album cover…
This is the cover for the long awaited Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics. The album was supposed to come out earlier but it has been pushed back a couple of times and is slated, now, for a February release. I don’t know why all the neosoul artists are doing this album-series thing. Jill scott did it first and now India Arie, Erykah Badu and Maxwell are all following suit.
