Röyksopp unveil new album cover

1

royksopp_junior_album_coverAnother good album cover. This project sounds like it’s going to be one of there best and the collaboration list is just perfect: Robyn, Lykke Li, Karin Dreijer Andersson (from electronic duo The Knife) and Anneli Drecker. The first single is going to be “Happy Up Here.” I can’t wait for Junior.

Review: A Beginning, A Detour, An Open Ending by Tina Dico

tinadico

There are only a few new artists as prolific and consistently impressive as Tina Dico (spelled Tina Dickow in her native Denmark). A Beginning, A Detour, An Open Ending is proof that a true artist does not have to fit in an album-project pattern to fulfill their artistic endeavor. This is not your run-of-the-mill album, it’s a trilogy of EP’s recorded at different times while Dico was promoting and touring for her Count To Ten album.

Mad props to Iceland…

1

2469332728_4101920cfdI couldn’t have said it better. From TruthDig.com:

“Hats off to the Scandinavians, who continue to make the world’s progressives green with envy. Even as Iceland faces economic catastrophe, the volcanic island nation has made history by naming the world’s first (for the most part) openly gay national leader. Johanna Sigurdardottir will become prime minister. (The New York Daily News says Norway briefly had an openly gay man as prime minister.)

The family-values types can just relax. Sigurdardottir has been married to her female companion for seven years.”

Is Iceland Scandinavia, though?

Lily Allen is a “Fag Hag”

It’s Not Me, It’s You is on the review stand. The album’s not bad at all and it follows in suit of Alright, Still. The songs are fresh and cockney-accented, even if she is posh. This track is a b-side that maybe on some of the album editions across the world. I think it should have been a single not just because of the subject matter, but also because’s it’s a banging morning song with a wandering chorus.

The View clashes over Sarah Palin

2

I am just laying back watching all the conservatives, whether here or there, squirm at this new progressive world. Why are we still talking about human rights violators like Sarah Palin. Elisabeth Hasselbeck claims that she was a great governor of the state of Alaska? Really, then why is Alaska the most corrupt state in the US? Why is she still whining. Stop being a media hag and go hunt a moose. People talk of her daughter’s pregnancy because she rambles on about conservative values and this came as a shock to all. Maybe, it’s freezing there now and she needs to warm things up.
