A Woman A Man Walked By is a collaboration with John Parish, who would practically have no career whatsoever if it wasn’t for PJ Harvey. Everytime she work with him we get a lackluster record. This couple with is blah album cover reduces my anticipation of the album considerably. It’s like she doesn’t want to put any effort into her album’s artwork like during the Rid Of Me days. But, there has been news that another solo effort by PJ is in the works.
Michael Jackson to do concert in London
1It’s about time. And I am sure he can pull it off, he’s MJ. I hope it’s like a Celine-Dion-esque residency at O2 and not just a one-off. I wonder what happened to the demos from the Bahrain record contract and if they will ever surface.
Fashion: Marc Jacobs debuts new ready-to-wear
1Radiohead lend song for charity
The song is “Videotape” from In Rainbows. The boys have lended the song to Shelter, an organization which supports the prevention of homelessness. It’s cute that they included an actual “House Of Cards,” just like the other song on the same album.
Usher thinks Chris Brown should be remorseful
This story is taking twists and turns every which way. Rihanna’s not pressing charges against the criminal and now everyone has an opinion of the whole bashing. We have yet to know what the incited the problem, not that it matters. Battering is battering. Chris Brown chilling at P Diddy’s mansion and jet skiing doesn’t make him look shamed either, that’s why Usher’s on the blast. Is Diddy a Chris Brown sympathizer? The weirdest thing, though, is that I read this on the Huffington Post!
Video: “Mango Tree” by Angus & Julia Stone
This duo are couple of the best scenic folksters out there right now. The former Hollywood EP was just a teaser of what they could do and now this video of an old song suddenly surfaces. They’re trying to create a buzz before they release their sophomore album.
Sexual exit strategy for Iraq
2My posts on politics have been sparse lately, mostly after Obama’s inauguration. That is not because of a disinterest in the subject, but because the seeds are still being watered by this incumbent, per se. My support of Obama has left me with high hopes that are almost impossible to accomplish. To expect such fast and drastic change after 8 years of shit-throwing is unreasonable. The economy, I am told, has gone to the dumps in this post-Bush era we live in. All this talk of recession and crisis seems, to me, like a big figureheads way of trying to create a studied dip in thier grand graph of world economics in order to get a future high spike for their money-mongering ways. But, then again, I have to say I know very little about macroeconomics, or any economics for that matter.
This century’s Rubik’s Cube
You think you are the sharpest tool in the shed because you used to be able to fix a Rubik’s Cube back in the day when perms were unregulated and Rick Astley could pass off as hot? Well, get with the times. It’s called the Petaminx and it has 975 individual colored blocks as opposed to Ernő Rubik’s 26. Try solving this one.
Röyksopp to follow Junior with Senior
When it rains, it pours. High off the heels of the fact that Röyksopp are finally going to give us something new and sexy comes the news that the Norwegian duo are also going to release a sequel to Junior in 2010 aptly titled Senior. With tour rumors circulating, this means that Senior has already been finished and ready for release. The first single is a great slice of optimistic blip-blop. Another track by the name of “The Girl And The Robot,” which features Robyn, has been crowned Song Of The Day by PopJustice. It’s looking good for the Eplers.
Britney Spears returns to the stage
Five years on from her last tour and this one looks like it is going to be her best. From the unique circus set-up, to the catalogue-lite set list, all the way to the choreography Britney is known for.

Surprise: Saturn has a new moon
The Saturdays show up without Frankie
She’s only the best of them and the last time this happened Geri Halliwell left the Spice Girls and the world was never the same again. it’s too early for her to depart, but, she could pull a Siobhan Donaghy or, mostly probably, I am jumping into conclusions. Anywho, I just can’t get enough.
Don’t Quote Me, Vol. 186
Video: “Better Off As Two” by Frankmusik
4May I just say that I stumbled upon this by mistake and now i can’t get enough of it?
PJ Harvey debuts new song today…
“Black Hearted Love” is the first single from her upcoming album A Woman A Man Walked By. It’s supposed to be guitar heavy and loud. I fear it is a throwback to Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea, which is too much of a ruckus, if you ask me. The direction she was headed to with Uh Huh Her and White Chalk was great. But, the album will come out March 30th for all to judge. The song will be on Zane Lowe Show.
Time to legalize marijuana
1Are we still fighting over this. It’s about time everyone got over their little conservative panties and legalized it. It’s just a grass, who came up with the idea of outlawing a plant? The whole argument is old and tired and the statistics and scientific research show that a cigarette is more of a harm than the components of marijuana. People are still getting some jail time for a blunt. Get over it, it’s been around for centuries and will stay around no matter how the moral landscape shifts.
Guinea-Bissau president assassinated
Back to forgotten Africa: From Random Citations:
“Joao Bernardo Vieira, President of West African country Guinea-Bissau was assassinated on March 2, 2008. Bernardo Vieira was shot dead at his presidential palace by renegade soldiers. His death came only one day after his arch rival, armed forces chief of staff Gen. Batiste Tagme na Waie was killed by a bomb blast. It’s not known if Joao Bernardo Vieira had a hand behind Batiste Tagme na Waie’s death, but apparently, Vieira was revenged by Waie’s followers”
P!nk suspends herself mid-air for tour…
She did something similar in the previous tour and it is the biggest low-budget thrill in the history of pop DVDs. This time around she is stretching it for her half-hit “Sober.” What I love most about this tour, apart from the great music, is the fact that it is a year-long venture with zero North American dates. What a snub!
GaGa looking fierce again…
The Fame has yet to make a dent on my musical landscape. I just don’t see what the fuss is all about. It’s like Solid Harmonie, it’s fun and timely. But, having said that, I love everything else about Lady GaGa. The fashion, the charisma, the visual direction, the pop philosophy and the overall finish. Can anyone tell me where to get those glasses?
Chris Crocker falls for the enemy
Do you think it should be his next single?
