Cheryl Cole goes solo, Nadine Coyle goes solo

cherylcoleWhen the news broke out that Cheryl Cole is going to do a solo album it was both exciting and worrying a little bit. By all means, Cheryl is not my favorite. I think she has the worst voice out of all of them and she is the only one that sounds like she doesn’t like the Girls Aloud genre. She is more into hip hop and R&B and it shows from her dancing to her song choices. Plus, the only thing we have seen from her solo sphere is that utterly abhorrent collaboration with Will.I.Am.

Still, the prospect of a Girls-Aloud-related release during a year (2010) that is bound to see less of the group’s presence is always welcomed. The news is that everyone is going their own way for a little to embark on solo projects. Nicola will surely work on her make up line Dainty Doll and (word just in) she’s going to be the face of Vivienne Westwood. Kimberly Walsh hasn’t announced anything, but something tells me she will be on Cheryl’s album. Sarah Harding will probably lend her vocals to more dance acts.

The real news, that is not nearly as publicized, in that the voice of the group, Nadine Coyle, is also working on solo material. I can see her going the Emma Bunton route. I am sure she is going to work the vocals as long as she gets good producers. Now this, I am really looking forward to.
