No that the last government is on a permanent vacation, their kin and friends are up in arms trying to condone what the last incumbent US government did. In all reality, here is Liz Cheney, who looks like an intellegent woman, trying to give excuses to the suffocation of people under water. Waterboarding, to her, is not considered torture. I wonder what she does for fun.
The republicans are mad because Obama decided to release information about the methods of torture. They are claiming this revelation would put the US in more danger. But, in reality they are just trying to cover up the atrocities that happened at Gitmo. the world needs to know there things. Transparency is always good. She should know her father’s legacy will not be mended with a bunch of interviews. He needs jail time.
What Liz is really afraid of is that her father, along with Bush the buffoon, and yes-woman Rice would be up for trial because of war crimes just like Robert Mugabe and other dictators. Why not? They did torture, they did kill civilians. I don’t see why that is hard to grasp. They had no respect for the notion of soft power and lied to the world to propel their own business interests. This is not new territory, but it deserves a mention again. Especially since Cheney and Bush are wanted men in the state of Vermont and Spain. I would like to see more liberal countries and state do the same thing.
The rut that these put the world into look formidable. There need to be some sort of tribunal to attest to their crimes, which might, in turn, let some nations and leaders simmer down about American foreign policy and forgive the past 8 years minus a hundred days.
And where is Mary Cheney still. Is she in her lesbian dungeon not allowed to voice her opinion or what? I don’t see her even coming out to the community to apologize for her grisly absence on social issues and civil rights. What a family!
