Listen to her say “six.”
No matter how far away we get for the previous administration the demons keep haunting the world from the torture files that are augmenting by the day, the ailing state of the economy or the fragile environment we live in. It seems the best thing to do right now for the incumbent is to take those criminals to court. That will breathe an air of confidence throughout the world.
Amerie is back to promote her latest and 4th album to date In Love & War. Now, I have always thought that Amerie is one of the pop divas that never got enough cred for churning out a bunch of sexy numbers. The whole debacle of release of the previous album really left some hits astray that could have made a career. Still, she is coming back fierce as ever with this new effort and a new single named “Why R U,” I have yet to hear. The release is slated for late July.
I can’t wait to watch this. I am always iffy on the subject of outing but i have no qualms with it when it comes to policy-makers or politicians who oppose equality. It’s just not cute.
As Time magazine stated, the conservatives, the bane of society, are on the endangered species list, which is the only occasion where I favor extinction. In any form, the republikkkans are now touting Obama a heathen of sorts because he likes some dijon in his burger. Watch the video to see how low the stoop is.
“The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving.”
- Oliver Wendell
Wait for the jolly first part to finish for the twisted (literally) part.
Don’t know whether to cheer or jeer this. A part of me feels like it might be a great flick that will expose the world to the absurdity of pigeonholing people and another part is afraid that it might end up being a cesspit of stereotyping that will me a laughingstock out of a minority. But, I do remember feeling, that in Borat, the people who turned out to be the laughed-at where not the two Kazakh characters, but the other people in the movie. Well, in some cases.
The countdown to Abnormally Attracted To Sin is getting serious. This song is lighter and has a nice wandering piano melody. It sounds like something from Scarlet’s Walk.
“Nothing makes the earth seem so spacious as to have friends at a distance; they make the latitudes and longitudes.”
- Henry David Thoreau
We featured Melanie Fiona in Artists to look out for in 2009 and February’s compilation Synthosium. It is only now that she finally made this video debut and the single happens to be our favorite song. This should do something on the charts. Maybe a little murmuring here and there. It’s solid enough to launch an artist. Look out for her album The Bridge coming out later this year.
With all this voting bonanza going I am hearing all kinds of advocates left and right and although I have very little candidates I like and a whole lot of crap-hustlers, I am amazed at how people are willing to support a candidate on a one point-of-view basis. I mean, candidates should be multi-faceted and the voters should dig deeper if they are endorsing anyone. Pseudo-liberals are touting candidates who have had not-so-progressive stand points in the past and that doesn’t seem to factor into the scheme of candidate-choice.
Not to be confused with a Mariah single, but this is just a video Nick Cannon put together for us fans, also known as “lambs.” As you can tell by the hotel room footage and the absolutely nightmarish typeface, this is not Mariah-approved but i am sure she let it slip, especially since they are celebrating their one year anniversary. Mariah hair-swishing and over-the-top melisma is always welcome in our book no matter what the format. Watch how tacky her turn to say “No” at 3:30 secs is.
