Yes, this is for real everyone. The U.S. Senate just passed an actual apology for slavery. The statement is that the United States of America “acknowledges the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality and inhumanity of slavery, and Jim Crow laws.”
Oh, really? Now! That’s good to know. Maybe, The Autobiography Of Miss Jane Pittman was on HBO or something. This should have been issued decades ago. Actually, not just issued but delivered by a president and then made a national mourning day for all the people that watched their family members die because they picked up a book. Horrid.
If it took that long for the senate to actually decide that an apology was due maybe they should have just zipped it and let it die. Seriously, have they not issued an apology for the atrocities before? I am very surprised. Of course, Bush with his 8 years in office didn’t even bat a liver-spotted Texan eyelid on the issue.
And on top of that apology, some senator came out and did the deed and then “offered no reparations.” I kid you not. What a way to rub some salt on one of humanity’s biggest wounds. Whatever the case is, it’s ridiculous.

I don’t know how i feel about this. At first i thought i “wow, thats a start” but when i think about it, its just awful.
Cekan your own house before you start looking at other houses that are far better than house.
