Moby’s Wait For You leaks

1

Yay! Just in time for a bus ride to New York. Wait For Me is a return to form. Like the Play days, it’s filled with melancholy vocals and wandering melodies. Here are a bunch of “blips,” which are short videos that showcase the songs. Now, I am headed to Teany.

Madonna names collection “Iconography”

4

pcn_madonna_hm_1

She’s at it again. Selling out for money and nothing else. Many say this is her third greatest hits compilation. I say it’s the fourth. The Immaculate Collection, Something To Remember, GHV2 and Iconography. Madonnaheads will say Something To Remember is a concept album. But most of the tracks on it are from older albums or soundtracks or EPs. And don’t get me started on her EPs. Whatever it is, the new name is fitting. She’ll hire some rapper and put out a horrid little tune that will be remixed 20 times and played at circuit parties until I am 71. That doesn’t mean it’s good, though.

Farrah Fawcett dies at 62

What a week of death it has been. First Ed McMahon, then Farrah Fawcett. She had a long battle with anal cancer. Now, Charlie’s Angels will never be the same and that haircut will always bring back memories. I remember her cameo, for a couple of episodes, on Spin City. She looked like she was about to revive her career. Here’s more on her struggle:

Jewelry with a twist from Ted Noten

glockp

Ted Noten is out in force with his new collection of jewelry and furniture. It’s a modern look at art pieces as dress pieces. Yes, why go to an art show when you can be a walking gallery? My favorite is the piggie bracelet.

Introducing… Livvi Franc

4248_80994593685_8155273685_1711911_2963793_nHer debut single has been dubbed and circulated around to internet for a while now. We shrugged we saw it because it looked like an attempt at publicity with a track titled “Now I’m That Bitch.” But, you always change your mind when you hear a song loud in a club. And now it’s all kinds of infectious and very Rihanna-sounding which is good while Rihanna is figuring our her court shit. At any rate, she has one solid pop tune, no video. But, it looks like it’s going to be a summer hit. That’s why it’s on SummerUp.

Must-Watch: Video: “Jealous Of My Boogie” by RuPaul

2

NSFW. Extremely low budget, yet very fun. Apparantly Ru was inspired by Japanese juxtaposition video. Its “the techno mash-up phenomenon currently sweeping Japan, whereby kids are splicing old gay porno footage of Billy Herrington with mad Japanese graphics, plus the occasional baby head to cover any exposed goodies.”

Music For July: SummerUp

SUMMERUP

The time has come once again. July’s offering is a ballast of pop and dance. It’s one of the most care-free, fun and up compilations I have made in a while. All kinds of mainstream pop, chart dance, geek electro and a bunch of infectious catch phrases from RuPaul’s Drag Race. The theme is summery and beachy. Nothing too heavy here and nothing lowtempo. When I put it together, I had in mind my party friends who keep goading me to stray away from the “hipster shit” or “alterna-crap.” So, this one’s for them. Join the facebook group Nasser’s Mix Galore for it. Click below for the full playlist:
