Writing a lot of things that you need to change or correct or look like you are doing your homework in the 80s’? Well this notepad is for you. If you throw a paper out it will look like an assortment of balls. Loser? Maybe. Cute? Yes! (BTW, this is the only time you will see anything close to looking like a soccer ball on this blog).
Florence + The Machine cover “You Got The Love”
This has to be the greatest cover of the year. And just when I was thinking of making a covers compilation. Florence + The Machine’s album Lungs is quickly becoming a favorite. It’s quite catchy and her voice is so unique, in the right sense of the word and not as a novelty. I bet Candi Staton likes this version about a song she wrote for a TV documentary about obesity n the 80s’ and only surfaced as a dance hit in the early 90s’ following a remix treatment from The Source.
Sopopular brings back the colors
1A brand by the name of SOPOPULAR from Germany are revisiting color when it comes to the male wardrobe. And it is more than welcome as men’s fashion needs a boost of sorts – away from the humdrum mall rat set which dominates. Unconditional, Juun J, sometimes Diesel and American Apparel are the only places one can find something wearable yet fashionable. Thanks, Adnan.
Video: “Trust Me” by Sliimy
We fell for the hype and we have to say that his album Paint Your Face has grown to be increasingly annoying with acceleration. Also, “Wake Up” has been a track we love to hate. This is his latest, there’s something so right yet so wrong about this and we can’t put our finger on it.
LaToya Jackson thinks brother was murdered
1LaToya Jackson believes her brother Michael was murdered for money. She says she knows the perpetrators and is determined to see them brought to justice. She accused the unnamed conspirators of controlling her brother by providing access to addictive drugs.
“Less than a month ago, I said I thought Michael was going to die before the London shows because he was surrounded by people who didn’t have his best interests at heart. He was worth more dead than alive. I believe Michael was murdered, I felt that from the start. Not just one person was involved; rather it was a conspiracy of people.”

Britney Spears saved their lives
BBC has made a documentary called Britney Saved My Life about British Britney fanatics. These are spliced bits and pieces of it. The “I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Women” bit is just overboard. Oh, and the gay boy poser, he reminds me of someone. I am not surprised, her fans tend to be on the crazy side, that is not necessarily bad thing.
Kate Earl re-introduces herself
3
This comes as a surprise because Kate Earl has been in my collection for a couple of years. In fact, Fate Is A Hunter spawned two hits in our heart – the Fiona Apple drab of “Someone To Love” and the DUI anthem “Officer.” But, she might be pulling some stops from the Joss Stone autobiography by re-positioning herself as a new and/or fresh artist with Introducing Kate Earl. The Alaska native, and hopefully non-Sarah Palin friend, is all over iTunes with this EP. It’s faster than her usual stuff from the debut album, but still doesn’t stray too far away from the singer-songwriter aura her fans know her for.
This baby break dances…
2Ledisi returns with a funkier edge

Don’t Quote Me, Vol. 220
Video: “22″ by Lily Allen
It’s a fun catchy pop tune, but I don’t think that it’ll make any waves. Just because the album’s buzz is dying down and the other singles are stronger. The video is also lackluster, but fitting to the lyrics.
Alex Roots stumbles before she can walk
We featured her a while ago in hopes that she will be the next big thing, except now that we see the album cover we digress. It’s worse than Sanjaya‘s. This is just atrociously horrid. The typeface, the dog, the pose, the fashions, the background. Everything!
