LaToya Jackson believes her brother Michael was murdered for money. She says she knows the perpetrators and is determined to see them brought to justice. She accused the unnamed conspirators of controlling her brother by providing access to addictive drugs.

“Less than a month ago, I said I thought Michael was going to die before the London shows because he was surrounded by people who didn’t have his best interests at heart. He was worth more dead than alive. I believe Michael was murdered, I felt that from the start. Not just one person was involved; rather it was a conspiracy of people.”

Los Angeles police chief William Bratton has not ruled out homicide. The state’s autopsy will take another two weeks for the results, but the family reportedly already has the results from a private autopsy that was conducted on their request. LaToya would not comment on the results until the police results are made public.

She claims the Pop King had no real friends, despite the outpouring of love and grief from so many people who had known Mr. Jackson. It is unclear how close LaToya was to Michael or the rest of the family. She wrote a tell-all book in the 1980s which painted the clan in an unflattering light, and more recently was kept at a distance by Mr. Jackson’s handlers.

“As a family, we tried to get involved. We wanted to stage an intervention. But we couldn’t get near Michael. I knew something terrible was going to happen.”
