How many years has it been since humans visited the moon?

40. Yes, 4 decades ago a human set foot on another body in space (that we know of). For some reason people find this a point of celebration. I have always been interested in our planet’s sphere. I am also interest in mapping the ocean floors since the human has only visited 2% of the ocean floor. We really have no clue what’s down there. My thing is, why go colonize and explore other planets when there is so much shit going on here that needs fixing? Why don’t we just work on what we have instead of going out on a limb and visiting outer space and, in the long run, destroying it like we did to our planet? I am not a rocket scientist and there might be great reasons for this voyage, but I feel like it’s another way the big suits can tap into a new territory to exploit it and its resources.

Humans (and I mean this in the most general way) often follow this is every aspect. Even in business. They want to get bigger without fixing their existing flaws. Maybe it’s greed? or maybe it’s just a ‘natural’ human tendency to globalize without having strong solid roots?
