This is the third single from the album and, so far, the single choices have been impeccable. Plus, the low-budget videos really do suffice when it comes to Peaches. I Feel Cream is not the easiest album to listen to, but, it is her best to date.
Don’t Quote Me, Vol. 226
Video: “Boys And Girls” by Pixie Lott
5I have to say that she is really growing on me. The debut single, which shock up the UK charts and made the hype strewn upon Little Boots seem like fodder, wasn’t packing heat for us. But, this second single sounds like what the Sugababes should have done for Catfights & Spotlights. Her album is coming out soon and it is titled Turn It Up.
Marc Jacobs designs pro-gay rights t-shirts
4
In the quest for equality and human rights, the newly-married Marc Jacobs has released a series of t-shirt that demand equal rights for marriage. Good point, why should gay people be taxed if they can’t live equal lives and can’t get their right to pursuit of happiness, which the US constitution cites explicitly.
These t-shirts cost $24. The proceeds will go directly to the Human Rights Campaign. They will be available in all Marc by Marc Jacobs stores hopefully around the world.

Kuwait borders Egypt, according to Fox News
6Fox News is not the source to go to for impartial and objective news, but this is just absurd. Conservatives have gone out of their minds (if they have any) and completely disregarded georgraphical facts in one of their recent broadcasts. But, in reality, the average Fox News viewer does not know any better and wants the whole area bombed. They couldn’t care less about the Middle East. Everything is “Yay! USA!” Blind patriotism they call it. It happens everywhere in the world. This is a generalization, but conservatives always tend to be the poorly informed and uneducated people, which leads to prejudice and bigotry and, ultimately, hatred (or they could be informed and educated but evil and greedy). No wonder Fox News caters to the homophobic, racist, sexist gun-owners in the US. This above image is not a slip up, but more a slip into their minds.
Must-Watch: Video: “I’m Not Sorry” by thecocknbullkid
Great tune, needs a bit of mastering but it’s very promising. Plus, she’s from Ghana! Visit her myspace page. Thanks, magic Maj.
Sliimy signs to Perez Hilton’s record label
1Back when we introduced him we thought he was a French pop star with a some talent. Now, Sliimy broke that mold and is the first artist officially signed to Perezcious Records. If Perez is releasing his album Paint Your Face in the US, it won’t work out. It’s just not cut out for that market. It might fair well in some niche markets like the hispter demographic and the gay community, but that’s about it. He doesn’t have enough good songs to carry it (Check this and this).

Yet another peak for Loft965.com
2
Ever since we got around 34,000 visitors about a month ago our daily unique visitors have tripled. Today, we got to another peak mainly due to the rumor that Amy Winehouse has passed away but also Mariah’s second single deserves a mention. This time around we managed to knock up our third busiest day ever and we are still going. So, we can’t fully report the number until midnight. Also, we got to the third most read post on WordPress (above). It seems that people still use the bookmark button. Thanks everyone, yet again.
Joan Rivers goes crazy on set
1Joan Rivers is serving up some divatude in this clip like there’s no tomorrow. It would be great if it was real, but it is too well-produced and well-lit to be the real deal. it’s probably a viral video to promote her new show. I didn’t know biting was realness these days.
Madonna’s “Celebration” to commemorate her entire career
30Apparently, Madonna’s money-milking compilation of greatest shits is not going to be in continuation with The Immaculate Collection and GHV2. It”s going to be a collection spanning her entire blood-sucking career. It’s going to include everything from her first flop “Everybody” to her latest flop “4 Minutes.” That’s probably in keeping with the fact that since GHV2 Madonna doesn’t have enough hits to fill a whole compilation. American Life, Confessions On The Dance Floor and Hard Candy had like 4 hits between them. Ok, maybe 6. The ecstasy-pill renditions to her new single “Celebration” sound blah, but made the radio edit will work out just fine, especially since she ditched her failed attempt at becoming an R&B diva when Mariah quipped that it was “interesting.” Now, “Revolver” that’s a different pile of dunk by itself.
Thank you joetohell for the pic.
Exclusive: Video: “Manos Al Aire” by Nelly Furtado
2We are over-flooded with exclusives today (Note: when we say “exclusive,” we don’t mean we only have it, we mean we posted the minute it came out without re-appropriation from other posts). Anyway, we are ll kinds of excited to get the new Furtado album and wonder what she is singing about all the time. She should have shakira-ed it and just released the same beats in Spanish and English. Even Spanglish would have been better. Isn’t she ethnically Portuguese anyway? Back to the beats… solid track.
Obama coins “Stupidly”
2
In reference to Cambridge police’s arrest of a black professor, Obama said that they acted “stupidly,” which is not a word in the english dictionary (abridged). I, personally, did not know it was not a word. It has a flaw with it and it makes complete sense. Now t-shirts are being made and everyone is using the term. Even if it wasn’t a word, the Cambridge police were racist and did act stupidly. And now that obama said it, it will be a word! If Beyonce can coin “Bootylicious” then Obama can definitely make “Stupidly.” At least he didn’t go to far on a limb and tried to make “internets,” “nookyolar” or “truthiness” happen like the buffoon before him.
Exclusive: Video: “The Journey” by Dolores O’Riordan
This came as a surprise. Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan will release a second album despite the gargantuan failure of her first album Are You Listening? Which was replied to with “Erm, no.” “The Journey” is the first single off of her sophomore album No Baggage and it does sound better than anything on the previous album. It’s on the legendary indie label which used to handle Ani DiFranco’s UK releases Cooking Vinyl. We hope this works out this time (and not only in Ireland).
