This is the new sleeve for her upcoming English album. She has always used animal or mythic imagery in her artwork. Last time it was the doe-eyed eve with child at hand. Her tour was named after a horse. She keeps it Amazon. It’s probably going to have a couple of stompers on their. I haven’t heard enough to know, but I know that she is an artist that has consistently delivered to some extent on albums. The cover’s simple yet strong and gets the point across.
Conservatives are empty and ashamed
Chris Crocker’s videos are getting banal with time but he is still right-on at times. This is nice little vlog on the usage of the word “conservative.” Really? what are they conserving? The surely want to drill holes everywhere. So, it’s not the environment. The really judge minorities and women. So, it’s not culture or diversity. Morals? Maybe. But. that is just a reflection of their intellect rather than a conservation of something relevant to humanity and it’s progress. The hateful people cover their judgements these days with that term. You want to be a conservative? Conserve human rights, the environment and love.
Introducing… Amanda Blank
6Amanda Blank is the new kid on the block. Other than the fact that her beats are lush with attitude that she is ushering in a whole bunch of comparisons with M.I.A., Santogold, Peaches and Gwen Stefani, she also happens to rap and write some snazzy lyrics with mean drop-beats. Her album comes out this month and it’s titled I Love You. And the synth-glam anthem “Might Like You Better” is making the rounds around the internet. Keep an eye out for Amanda Blank and we will keep you posted. Click below for the song:

2The single choices don’t do the album justice. This is one of the best tracks on the unexpectedly diverse Wild Young Hearts. It’s the third single and it should be followed by “Saturday Night.” However, the real gem on there is “Sometimes.”
Chairs from glossed fiber glass
“Constructed of a single piece of fiber glass, the Melaina Easy Chair was designed in 1970 by Rodolfo Bonetto for Driade. Bonetto began his career as a consultant for automobile manufactures. In 1958 he founded his own firm, and went on to win the Compasso d’ORO award in 1964, 1970, and 1979.” – Selectism
Madonna pays tribute to Michael Jackson
6Touching. They both were icons of a very special time of pop music. I wonder if this is just for the 02 arena or an on-going thing for the rest of her extra “leg” of the tour. She must’ve really loved him, or just wants the attention. Keep in mind this is the same woman who formerly refused to appear in Michael’s “In The Closet” video unless Jackson appeared with her in public in complete drag.
Precious gets another new look
1Mariah’s movie Precious has just gotten another revamp for mainstream audiences and the awards season. Now that it’s funded by none other than Oprah, it needs to make an impact both at the box office and the critics’ hearts. I think it looks more appealing than this.
Must-Watch: Video: “She Ain’t Got Shit On Me” by LeToya
2Even if this is yet another blame-the-woman-for-the-man’s-infidelity ditties, we likes it. She is bringing the fierceness on big-time. The dance routine is sex and the beat is working. The album, Lady Love, has been pushed back, probably because the lead single and equally-scrumptious song “Not Anymore” didn’t build-up enough interest. So, we get two singles before the release. Last time she managed to get to #1 on the Billboard Album charts, which means she has a lot of buyers.
Florence + The Machine breathe high with Lungs
1Florence + The Machine got the Brit award for upcoming music star or something like that. Last year, the first year on offer, Adele won it. Those are some big shoes to fill. I have generally stayed away from talking about the band because I haven’t had enough music of theirs to listen to. But, now that the album is out. I can say that the lead single is nothing to go by. Lungs is a loud multi-layered effort of an album. Unique and robust vocals laid upon beats of instrumental tumult. They are the type of band that might not be successful on the singles chart, but can definitely garner a fan base on the sonic mood of their album. Even if the album format is dying.

Meh.
Michael Jackson on magazine covers…
1Unknown life form discovered in sewer
2This has been circulating the YouTube channels, some say its extra terrestrial, others say that it might be new species. It looks like roe or eggs of a species, But, it’s fleshy and weird when it moves. Maybe it’s an advent of evolution?
Kristinia DeBarge to take over

Great rendition. It cuts like a knife. The original:
Imogen Heap reveals real album cover
Originally thought it was this one. But, it turns out Ellipse is getting a different cover. I heard some of the tracks from her YouTube previews and it sounds like the same stuff but with different lyrics. RIP MJ.
How to make grilled pineapple…
2
1. Pineapple does not need to be grilled
2. Pineapple should not be a pizza topping
3. MJ is the best.
Loft965.com is back, RIP MJ
We took a little break to honor Michael Jackson’s life and, also, because we happen to be in the our favorite city in the world. The big apple. The airport’s a good time for us to return. So, this is back in full force. We are still mourning Michael, but we will try to stay away from the gossip thats circulating around the Jackson name and just report and/or comment on the music and the legacy. Keep it coming!
Video: “Radar” by Britney Spears
1This song skipped from Blackout and hopped onto Circus. She apparently liked it so much she had to have it on two albums. This is not new, in the 70s’ and 60s’ that used to happened. So, she is not capitalizing on some old glory. In fact, there are so many better songs on Circus like “Kill The Lights” that deserve a video and a release. Thought: where would Britney be flipping burgers if it weren’t for Micheal Jackson?
