Big, phat and proud Mo’Nique has shed some pounds. 40 to be exact. The diva that has created a brand name for herself with over-weight has gone and betrayed her base. But, in reality, Mo’Nique lost the pounds, which she debuted at the Hoodies, no for “an aesthetic issue” but because of health reasons.

Also, Mo’Nique plans to begin filming her show which will be broadcast on BET sometime in October. And there is an Oscar buzz around her performance in Precious. With the show and the movie, she is on top of her game right now.

She appeared on Oprah and said she lost the weight because her husband begged her to do so for her health. he told her “Baby, I need you for life.”

I love Mo’Nique. I am a plus size woman myself and I love being big and beautiful. But I understand completely why she had too lose weight. Health is very important. I don’t want too be a size 2, but I do want too be healthy. So I am not hating on her. I still thinks she is so beautiful, her and Queen Latifah. They both are. So no its not excuses, its the truth.

Mo’Nique,I saw you on Rachel Ray today ,you are quite a girl ,I love your attitude its so me,except your a beautiful young woman and I am an old fat white woman looking to be on 1 tv show in my life time cause I am funny, and when you become 63 the yougins are laughing cause old women get funnier and accepted for thier scruples, hell look at Dr Ruth ,she gets respect for her direct sex talk and paid to do it,while i been talking about sex forever ,and i give good advice ,yet I haven’t seen a dime,So the bottom line girl is call me and set me up to appear on your show,I wont dissapoint you or the audience, btw I am never scripted just a goofy brain keeps my material new..lol

Thank you Mo’Nique…keep up all your great talents you rock!
