It seems that the original animated video for this song didn’t quite cut it for Moby. This is the new video and it’s first non-animated video from Wait For Me. The song can’t go wrong. It’s so sad and sweet and sombre. The model boy-photographer is very Pecker.
Chair made of multi-colored straws
4Just how exquisite is this? It’s called the “clutch chair” and it is made entirely of straws. It contains about 10,000 straws in different colors. The designer behind it is Scott Jarvie. Here’s what he had to say about it: “Made from 10,000 drinking straws, the Clutch Chair is an exploratory research piece that passes comment on our disposable culture. The development process of this piece also informed that of the Clutch Light, both of which were developed from an observation of the structural characteristics of trees.”

Madonna booed in Romania for defending gays and gypsies
2I don’t see what all the blog are talking and ranting about. I don’t hear any booing. I hear some kind of jeering and a couple of claps. This is one of the moments that is cherish-able in Madonna’s history as she hasn’t been representing in a while. And how apt is it of her to talk of equality and humanitarianism right before she starts “You Must Love Me” from the Evita soundtrack. Oh, and why “homosexuals.” That sounds so clinical. Part of me wants to kiss her and another knows that it adds a little push to the song. If she continues like this I might just like her again. Now, if only someone could make “Celebration” not sound like a regurgitation of “Keep It Together” with an old Paul Oakenfold beat…
Don’t Quote Me, Vol. 243
Fresh: Video: “Nothing 2 Step 2″ by Thunderheist
This is better than anything the much-hyped VV Brown has ever release. The lead singer’s vocals are strong and pronounced. It kind of reminds me of the Brand New Heavies in their heyday. Thunderheist have something going on for them. It seem that the band is very well put-together. Their first album is self-titled and is in stores now. More on them later.
The gayest combo ever…
1Went over to Amazon.com to check out the first review of Mariah Carey’s Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel only to find this little piece of information. Apparently people who bought that album will also like Whitney Houston’s I Look To You. That’s understandable, the tread the same music ground. But, on top of the there was Barbara Streisand’s new album Love Is The Answer. Now that’s gay. And, of course, not in the “gay-is-synonymous-with-stupid” kind of way. No siree, we don’t do this over here at Loft965.com, we have brains. In any case, I bet every queen from here to Fire Island would love to have that combo. It’s so gay it farts glitter. Oh, how I love us.

Does this constitute a sandwich anymore?
LeToya cites weak album promotion for “Lady Love”
3LeToya Luckett surprised everyone when her debut album LeToya debuted at the top spot in the US charts. So much so that the wait for the second album intensified due to the speculation that she might ring up another number one, a feat that Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and Solange Knowles wish for. So, her second album Lady Love has come out this week and the numbers are looking grim.
Clip of Kylie Minogue in Bollywood movie “Blue”
4What a breath of fresh air this is. Kylie Minogue is looking as lush as ever. She sounds great and I hope she has more parts in the movie. Kylie is one of the few divas that actually branches out on a limb to try new things and she always gets it right. I cant wait for Blue to debut.
Mariah Carey releases second single “I Want To Know What Love Is”
3Unfortunately, the second single from Mariah Carey’s new album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel is going to be the cover of the big-hair Foreigner ballad “I Want To Know What Love Is” from their Agent Provocateur album. This comes as a surprise because originally it was thought to be “100%,” which is a “We Belong Together”-esque ditty. If you ask me, this sounds like a recipe for disaster. Firstly because cover versions don’t fair well in US markets (Mariah has had only one cover version go to #1 in the US and it was her rendition of the Jackson 5′s “I’ll Be There.”)
Video: “We All Wanna Be Prince” by Felix Da Housecat
This comes interestingly close and after “Better Than Prince” by Flairs. It’s not their best work and the beats sound outdated. But, the concept is cute, to say the least. Their peak was with the remix of Nina Simone’s “Sinnerman.”
