LeToya Luckett surprised everyone when her debut album LeToya debuted at the top spot in the US charts. So much so that the wait for the second album intensified due to the speculation that she might ring up another number one, a feat that Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and Solange Knowles wish for. So, her second album Lady Love has come out this week and the numbers are looking grim.

Clip of Kylie Minogue in Bollywood movie “Blue”

4

What a breath of fresh air this is. Kylie Minogue is looking as lush as ever. She sounds great and I hope she has more parts in the movie. Kylie is one of the few divas that actually branches out on a limb to try new things and she always gets it right. I cant wait for Blue to debut.

Mariah Carey releases second single “I Want To Know What Love Is”

Unfortunately, the second single from Mariah Carey’s new album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel is going to be the cover of the big-hair Foreigner ballad “I Want To Know What Love Is” from their Agent Provocateur album. This comes as a surprise because originally it was thought to be “100%,” which is a “We Belong Together”-esque ditty. If you ask me, this sounds like a recipe for disaster. Firstly because cover versions don’t fair well in US markets (Mariah has had only one cover version go to #1 in the US and it was her rendition of the Jackson 5′s “I’ll Be There.”)

Sex & Candy

Some stupid conservatives somewhere in the world bought their kids some candy and now they’re screaming “Apocalypse!” Apparently the parents were enraged that the lime was “having sex” with a lemon and, at times, to two cherries. They were saying that the lime’s expression was very suggestive. Now tell me, who is perverted? I have come to the realization that conservatives are just good at hiding things and only use “morals” to alleviate their self-hatred. It’s a lime. Get over yourself.

nollywood_399

Nollywood is Nigeria’s Hollywood. Or, we should say, Nigeria’s Bollywood. Surprisingly the lesser heard-of Nollywood is actually one of the biggest industries on earth. Not only that, but it has also surpassed Hollywood in the number of titles released per year. It comes in at second place after Bollywood. Hollywood is at number three.

Kylie Minogue teams up with Jake Shears and Calvin Harris in the studio

JakeCalvinKylie-490x367

Yes, that is the one and only true queen of pop Kylie Minogue in the studio with Calvin Harris and Scissor Sisters front gay Jake Shears. They are doing some sort of collaboration that is bound to tantalize and eroticize. Last time Shears and Kylie did something together they released the greatest song never released (I am still crying there is no studio version for “White Diamonds”).  And the last time Calvin Harris worked with Kyles was on X, where he produced the worst song on the album (“Heart Beat Rock”) and the best song on the album (“In My Arms”). I can’t wait to see what they have been up to.
