album cover

American Idol loser and all-around nice person Katherine McPhee is back with her second album. We loved the two singles off of the first one so we expect more. Unbroken is set to bring a more grown-up McPhee sound with a new hair-do that makes her look less like Rachel Ray. The video’s in the works and the direction sounds promising.

Chelsea Handler interviews the Backstreet Boys

They are still going strong. I don’t know who is buying the records or if they are any good (I haven’t listen to the last 3 albums so I can’t judge). They must have a lot of loyalists, even after Kevin (the good-looking one) left, they seem to be getting all kinds of teeny (late-20′s to early 30′s) bopper screams. Boy, there are a lot of brackets in this post.

Sony_S540_Red-thumb-450x308Yes, the Walkman is back but with a few twists. First, it’s an MP3 players. But, unlike other players it has built-in loud speakers, video player, FM tuners and a voice recording feature. It’s called S Series Walkman Video MP3 player (that’s long!) and it encapsulates the old Walkman features to the digital generation. Click here for more information.

Is Michael Jackson still alive?

One of the rising topics in the blogosphere is a Tupac-Shakur-meets-Elvis-Presley kind of rumor about Michael Jackson’s death. Some people are claiming that there are two videos that are contrary to what the press reported. One (above) is proof that Michael Jackson was moving and hadn’t died prior to the ambulance rescue got to his house. Another is that of a video circulating of someone that looks like Michael Jackson being taken by ambulance into some building. In the second one, he is allegedly walking into a door like nothing happened .I expected rumors like that to surface. Some people just can’t take the fact that he passed away – like me.

East some shit…

I would definitely go there to check it out. The concept is new and fresh and the food looks succulent. I love how she says “Our lamp is poo-poo” and “Our mascot os poo-poo!” Modern Toilet has 12 branches, so it must be successful. Who would have thought of that concept. Only in the far east does something so animated get credibility. One the other side of the world everyone dying to achieve authenticity and if it doesn’t look authentic then the price is the reason people go (Yo! Sushi).

Nokia wants a share of the touchscreen market with 5230

500x_5230-3

Nokia wishes to penetrate the touchscreen market considering the fact that Blackberry and the iPhone have taken the over this year. The new phones are not only going to be touchscreen, but have been designed to be some of the cheapest touchscreen phones around. That is what’s going on in rumorville. The numbers being dropped are $99. And they’re 3G! In any case, I don’t think this’ll help Nokia. At least not here. They should start their own chat service like BBM and then I’ll jump of the bandwagon.

Fresh: Video: “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” by Maria Mena

Just when we finalized a compilation of sexy covers, we learnt that Maria Mena is about to release a sulty jazz rendition of the famous big-hair anthem “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” originally b KISS. The video is nothing special at all but the song is very well-arranged. Cause & Effect has some nice ditties on it.

Nick Cannon explains how he wooed Mariah Carey

He might have fibbed there. Because the second video he is talking about it “Bye Bye” and that was when they got married in the Bahamas. They must’ve been dating before “Touch My Body” or else it would be some sort of Las vegas shotgun wedding, which I don’t think Mariah would do. I am going to start “speaking things into existence” for now on.

“Forever Is Over” keeps The Saturdays going…

saturdaysforeverisover

To keep up with the great reception the Saturdays received for their first album, the UK band is not wasting any time on releasing a follow-up. High of the heels of their previous single “Work,” the group has already released the a new single from their yet-untitled sophomore album. It is not a far stretch for them, but it is definitely a new sound. It sounds a bit like “When Love Takes Over” by David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland, I must say.
