They Might Be Giants are back with this tree-hugging nature-loving little single. Plus, it brings with it a great video to match. This is from their third educational “children’s” album titled Here Comes Science. It’s a CD/DVD that came out September 1st. The vocals are just impeccable.

Her vocals always lay right in place. She’s picking up some sales and she deserves it.
The new meaning of “timetable”
Busy buddy? This table’s for you. It’s a table that keeps track of time incase you need to keep those meetings short. It has bars that indicate time running down the middle of it to show you how far you’ve went on and how far you have to go. It’s a novel idea. Read about it here.
Video: “Dance Anthem Of The 80s’” by Regina Spektor
1A standout track in Regina Spektor’s ill-fated album Far. This is how you do a no-budget video.
Erykah Badu forgets about the Ankh
So, as always, Erykah Badu fans have been promised a bunch of release dates and none of them gave us the second installment of her New Amerykah series. Now New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) looks like it will never see a release date. And as if all the ganja in the world wasn’t enough for her to laze-off this album, she has now become a very intermitting, yet chatty Twitter user. Yes, she’s all kinds of crazy on there. Kind of like a cross between Courtney Love and Tila Tequila. Erykah badu had better release some new music now or her fans will just give up. Or, at least, don’t be dropping some release dates like “August 18th” when you know you are a slacker.
Eva Simons wants to be Lady GaGa
1She became popular because her single “Silly Boy” was pushed around the blogosphere as the new Lady Gaga and Rihanna collaboration directed at Chris Brown, even if there was one vocalist on the track. Then the video came out and everyone knew the song but not the singer. It’s Eva Simons. She won some dutch reality show and now she wants to get some of the GaGa-ness. It’s a weak track. The look is emulated-fabulousness. She might make some waves but she needs a stronger single.
A wallet made out of a mattress
3Yes, the green age has caught up with designer a-many and these things keep popping up left and right This one’s quite sexy. It’s a shiny little wallet made out of mattress skin. Read more about it and/or buy it here.

1Sugababes leak new single “About A Girl”
1Another song and the supposed second single from Sweet 7 has been leaked. It’s called “About A Girl.” It’s producec by RedOne. Yes, when you thought that Lady Gaga was singing “On red wine…” she was actually saying “RedOne.” Really, who goes clubbing to “Just Dance” on red wine? Anyway, it’s fun and all kinds of poppy. Not their best effort, to say the least. Click below for the song.
This is a real product!
I don’t know about you, but I want one. The door hanger is what got me.

Tupac in Kazakhstan
Someone drove all the way from England to Kazakhstan (that’s 10,000 km approx.) and recorded this video of random Kazakh people singing/rapping Tupac’s “Changes.”
Another nod for Loft965.com
As we approach our one year anniversary we get another nod from WordPress to close off a marvelous year of blogging. WordPress put up on of our posts on second place on the front page titled “Freshly Pressed.” This comes as a surprise because the post was an impromptu thing and didn’t have much text. But, the video was enough for words. Anyway, we are looking forward to the anniversary of the blog and we will give you the lowdown once we complete a year of existence.
Erik Hassle covers La Roux
One of our favorites has covered a song from another of our favorites. Erik Hassle, who is amidst his campaign promoting Pieces, has covered 2009′s it-band La Roux’s second single “In For The Kill.” This is an marvelous acoustic version. He should record it and make it a B-side on one of his singles.

Cheryl Cole debuts new solo single “Fight For This love”
5Yes, she went first to steal that Girls Aloud solo buzz that all the girls are vying for. She’s been a busy girl: doing the Out Of Control Tour, looking over Simon Cowell’s shoulder for approval and doing this solo stint. This means one thing: she probably didn’t write most, if any of the songs, which is probably a good thing. So, the first single will have to be #1 in a “I Want Your Back” by Melanie B kind of way. And, you guessed it, it’s downright R&B. You know, because she is down with the clique and shit. Anyway, this is going to steal some of the stardust from the real star Nadine Coyle, which doesn’t make me happy. But, hey, I have the Irish charts to look forward to. Click below for the track.
