“Want” is the next single from Natalie Imbruglia’s fourth album, Come To Life, and it sounds nothing like anything she’s ever released before. In fact, it’s a bit of a dance tune. So, we are not surprised to see a bunch of remixes circulating the web for this song. On of the sanctioned remixes is done by the Shapeshifters. Some radio mixes are also available. It’ll be interesting to see the video for this song

Movie rentals to come to YouTube

youtube-logoYouTube is trying to get a chunk of the Amazon and Netflix market. Rumors are abound that the biggest video portal online is doing some test-drives and studies on implementing a movie rental section in its site. The word is that movies will cost $3.99 per movie, which is as much as iTunes is charging. Also, YouTube will allegedly have the movies the day they are released in DVD format. We hope this works for the East, too.

Brett Ratner to release music video DVD

Brett Ratner is releasing a number of music videos he directed on DVD. His biggest customer, of course, is Mariah Carey and that’s why she is featured on the cover. It’s called The Shooter Series, Volume One: Brett Ratner and it is bound to contain some divalicious videos like “These Boots Are Made For Walking” by Jessica Simpson and “Beautiful Stranger” by Madonna. He did a bunch of videos for Mariah including “I Still Believe,” “It’s Like That,” “We Belong Together,” “Heartbreaker,” “Thank God I Found You,” “Touch My Body” and “Obsessed.” Also, LL Cool J’s “Pink Cookies in a Plastic Bag Getting Crushed by Buildings” is his first mainstream music video.
