Ane Brun has performed some of her greatest material in Stockholm’s Concert Hall and happened to record it for everyone who couldn’t be there. This 2009 release is supposed to highlight the prolific artists greatest moments sung where she performs best – in concert.

Premiere: Video: “Meet Me Halfway” by Black Eyed Peas

Black Eyed Peas have one of the most successful albums of 2009. The E.N.D. had two long-standing number one hits and managed to make them even bigger than they were before. This third single received a whole lot of critical acclaim and that’s probably why it got the video treatment. It’s not the best and it might not make big waves like “I Gotta Feeling” or “Boom Boom Pow.” But, it’s strong enough to hold it’s own.

Alesha Dixon releases “Encore” version of “The Alesha Show”

Not that Alesha Dixon’s The Alesha Show did spectacularly well, but the record company is release a deluxe version of it titled The Alesha Show: The Encore. It’s basically the same album but with a few extra tracks. These tracks include “To Love Again,” her next single release November 15th. No word yet on if it’s a cover of the Diana Ross classic originally recorded for the soundtrack of Mahogany. The cover is not that spectacular, really, but it suffices. We hope she has some more upbeat tracks.

Premiere: Video: “Had It All” by Katharine McPhee

Katharine McPhee lost American Idol but she should have one. Her first album was a promising chunk of soul-tinted pop. This time around she opted for a more mature sound and this is the result. A single that feels Adult Contemporary but ends up sounding a little country. “Had It All” is the first single from newly-blonde-bobbed Katharine McPhee. Her new album is called Unbroken and it’s due out January 5th, 2010. It’s a stretch from her first album and a little twangy. Wonder how this will settle with her fans.

Official single cover for Michael Jackson’s “This Is It”

It has leaked and it’s not Michael’s greatest effort. But, we want anything more from the legend himself! The single cover is adequate and the single is just a reminder of how great Michael is. “This Is It” hits stores soon, but it’s already leaked and available for the world.

Premiere: Video: “You Got The Love” by Florence + The Machine

One of the greatest cover versions of this decade gets the video treatment. Finally! No word on whether this will be the new single or just a promotional video, but it’s welcome nonetheless. Lungs is, basically, the break-through record of the year. Florence is working it hard!

Whitney Houston will tour Europe soon!

Whitney Houston is actually going full-on with I Look To You. She is embarking on a tour of Europe early 2010. The tour starts in April with an extensive tour in the UK. Then Whitney moves on to Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Belgium. Surely France dates will be added and, maybe, Italy and Spain. But, if it sells out additions are  expected, as always. We hope she’s in top form even as most critics are saying that her voice is not the same. Sometimes she speaks instead of singing, don’t you think?

Premiere: Video: “Flashback” by Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris is on a roll! His album is surprisingly better than his debut. And, like anyone that’s truly passionate about music, he is commemorating the 1990s’. “Flashback” sounds like a good old 90s’ dance number with current technology. Don’t mind the I’m-in-Cannes video, the song is actually quite good. Ready For The Weekend is truly ready for the weekend.

Lily Allen releases “Who’d Have Known” as next single

Lily Allen has gone for a sweeter sound for her fifth international single (fourth in the UK) “Who’d Have Known.” Rolling Stone Magazine called the song a potential single previously, being “the ballad with the album’s most surefire hook.” The video for it is being shot right now. The song samples Take That’s “Shine.”  It’s Not Me, It’s You is one of the best album of the year. So, any singles are welcome.
