This one slipped under the radar for us. We just found out today that Joss Stone has released a new album (on the date of release). Not sure why it didn’t receive enough publicity or promo, but we knew it had to do with the record company. It turns out that there was some industry mud-slinging. Her record label has been obtained my an equity firm and Joss Stone does not like that at all. So the album got delayed and shelved. Then when it came time to release it there was no video and very little promo (mostly word-of-mouth and blog frenzy). But, its available for download now and the album cover has been changed with one with no image and just text. Apparently, the record company didn’t want Joss Stone to be enslaved on the cover.
Saturdays sing acoustic version of “Issues”
We can’t seem to find a song on Wordshaker that has the oomph that some of the old tracks have. Even the lead single “Forever Is Over” starts strong and then just sounds like “When Love Takes Over” by David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland. At any rate, this is a great old number.
It’s time for progress…
1
All this name-calling and insult-flinging has gotten us thinking. Since when has an opinion been valid if it is not well-researched. This age of misinformation has made a way for all conservatives to turn any word into a curse word. Conservatives are willing to go the length and make Nazi comparisons with people without actually knowing that Nazism is closer to their turf than anyone else’s. Another term being branded as an insult is “socialist.” This coming from people who wouldn’t know Karl Marx from Richard Marx. Liberals have been too quiet for too long. The free-thinkers of the world, with their appreciation and respect for other people’s opinions, have let delinquents pave a way for their miseducation. A full-blown assault on progression has been launched as a result of this live-and-let-live mindset. It’s time to fight ignorance in full-force. If someone speaks about something you disagree with it’s time not to shrug and let it go by. Because this world is in dire need for progress in order to live. It’s time.

Alexandra Burke’s “Bad Boys” #1 on UK charts, beating Robbie Williams
X-Factor winner has notched up a number one with her new single “Bad Boys.” She even stopped Robbie Williams’ comeback single “Bodies” from going to the top spot and settling for #2. The song is a strong R&B number and it features Flo Rida. This is her second number one and she’s only had two singles!
Premiere: Video: “Breathing Your Love” by Darin featuring Kat DeLuna
2Not too sure about this, even if it’s from a Swedish pop newcomer, the RedOne in it is too much and too repetitive. It’s to close to the Enrique and Ciara collabo. Kat DeLuna was a great touch, though. Can’t wait to her something new from her.
Furniture for atheists…
A furniture designer by the name of Guy Keulemans researched the internet to come up with this piece that is supposed to collocate the truth in thinking being rationalism. He explained: “Shelves are hidden in the back of a chest of drawers, becoming a secret to be discovered; and superseding the secretive nature of drawers. This concept is positioned as a metaphor for the continual drive of atheists to uncover and expose the mysteries of science, religion and life.”

1Video: “Two Birds” by Regina Spektor
This video has just popped up on YouTube and it’s an unofficial video from a fan for the song “Two Birds” from her album Far. The track is actually quite cute and it should be a single. The video is good for a fan-made effort.
