Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston to perform at American Music Awards

There’s quite a line-up for the American Music Awards. Whitney will bring on the crazy to perform something from I Look To You. Janet Jackson has been confirmed to perform for 8 minutes! No word yet on whether it will be a tribute to her brother or a megamix of her hits to promote her Number Ones album. Other performing at the AMA’s are Mary J. Blige, Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson.

1The performance is just awkward and the song is horrid. She should have done “Did It Again” or “Gypsy.” Even “She Wolf” would have been better. This album has some great songs and completely bad ones. Nothing in the middle.

One of the tracks that was intended for Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel surfaced in it’s tagged entirety. The songs seems like it was done for Precious the movie and now with the added lines we can tell that it is. It’s a cute, uplifting track but it’s not really single material. Yes, this is an old photo, we had to dig in our archives for it. We figured that if she is trying so hard to look like she used to, why not show what she looked like. Oh, those were the days! Melanie Fiona has finally made it and what a year it has been. Her voice is monumentally great and wherever she lays it, she lays it good. This is not one of the best songs on The Bridge, but the album’s packed with hits. We are waiting for “Monday Morning,” which, if handled properly, will make her a megastar. Joss Stone admits to smoking weed, gets flack for it
Joss Stone recently sat down with Britain’s Star magazine and talked about her relationship with ganja. She basically said she had a spliff or two. Now anti drug group are all up in her George Foreman. Her’s what she said: “I smoke weed, but I don’t think it’s really a drug. It’s more an herb. I don’t regret saying that at all. I think everyone smokes weed and people who say they don’t are lying! Weed has been given this evil stamp, but how is it dangerous? It’s going to make you laugh your a** off? You might go to sleep? I think alcohol is much more harmful.”
We agree with her, but she needn’t vilify the alcohol! Anyway, anyone that is anti-marijuana better chill and sit back. Who in the hell outlaws a plant? It’s a plant! And it’s been around for ages and will not go away. We don’t ever remember ever hearing someone overdosing on the weed. These people should get their facts straight and then enjoy a joint.

Mariah Carey is doing Europe for a while because her album Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel will be out there now. Contrary to what many critics would say, the voice is very much still there. But, she needs to lay “I Want To Know What Love Is” to rest now and concentrate on something like our favorite “Standing O” or “H.A.T.E.U.”

1The song is really not that cute at all for her. She could do so much better and she should have big uptempo number for the first single. it sounds even worse than “Take A Bow.” She looks ferocious in the video, but that doesn’t mean she should be release this lackluster number. Rated R better have some pumpin’ tunes.
