Film Review: Tom Ford’s “A Single Man”

16 12 2009

Tom Ford’s A Single Man is a must-watch! The movie is based on a novel written by Christopher Isherwood, a queen of an author. It is set in Los Angeles during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. The story line is about a British professor who is struggling to find a purpose in life after the death of his long beloved partner.

A Single Man exemplifies how society views minorities, and in that we mean the gay community. It touches upon peoples’ fears of growing old and being lonely. The screenplay is written by the well-known fashionista, Tom Ford with David Scearce. The simple story line, plot, and actors fit perfectly to the giveaway message. It turns out the fashionista is a magnificent multi-tasker! It has been a while since we have seen a movie that is worthwhile. Without a doubt, this movie is fruitful.

Have you seen the movie? If so, what do you think? If not, see it and lets discuss!

Couldn’t agree more!
The acting was first-rate, the visuals were magnificent, and the all-original score was beautiful.

Excellent review, “Tee!”
