Rage Against The Machine to beat Joe McElderry for Christmas top spot

16 12 2009

The early numbers are in and, maybe, for the first time since the inception of X-Factor UK the winner will not get a number one for Christmas. According to early digital sales of the single Joe McElderry’s “The Climb” is trailing 10% in sales behind Rage Against The Machine’s “Killing In The Name”. This will surely be a dent into the X- Factor world and will probably teach Simon Cowell not to choose a Miley Cyrus song for a cover. We hope it happens, but it’s highly unlikely as teh physical single is not out yet and that’s what grandmas and little kids buy. So there might be a skew and unfortunately RATM might not win. You see, this makes the Christmas number 1 exciting again, instead of just a dead cert.

…its on purpose people in the uk are angry at the fact that the x-factor has monopolized the christmas number one for the past 5 years and since its special to the uk they want it back, there is actually a campaign to knock it off, look it up its funny
