Erykah Badu sets date for “Return Of The Ankh”
The queen of hiatuses has finally laid off the ganja for a hot minute to finalize the release date of her 6th efforts and second installation of her New Amerykah serious. New Amerykah, Part II: Return of the Ankh is now set to be released February 23rd, 2010. This is what Erykah Bady had to say about this: “I called it Part II: The Return of the Ankh because this album is the sister of the left side of my brain — it is the right side,” Badu explained during a listening session this week at New York City’s Chung King Studios. “‘Part I was the left side of my thoughts — it was more socially political and my thought process was more analytical. This time there wasn’t anything to be concerned with — the album is more emotional and flowy and talks about feelings. It reminds of the days of Baduizm — this is just about beats and rhymes in a cipher.”
Also, she threatened: “If anything leaks, I won’t put out this album,” she said about potential future leaks. “I worked too hard for that to happen. Let a bitch make some money some kind of way.”
Margaret Cho visits The View, talks about G spot
Margaret Cho has a couple of projects up her sleeve. She just released her 5th stand-up comedy DVD titled Beautiful and she also has a new TV show titled Drop Dead Diva coming out soon. She doing a lot of work with self-image and female objectification and we are glad she is embarking on something with a message, not that what she was doing previously wasn’t “with a message” but this time it’s more directed at a specific subject. She also has a comedy music album that will feature her parents. We can’t wait to watch both.

Premiere: Video: “Tonight” by Cazwell
2Cazwell is pushing the envelope in this video by doing a tranny meets gay boy love story concept with a cameo by Amanda LePore. The song’s not too bad from him, but the video is fun. Run, tranny, run!
Official cover for Adam Lambert “Whataya Want From Me”
8He’s opting for the James Dean look for this one and straying away from glam. This is his second single from his debut album For Your Entertainment. It’s very apt to release now with the whole ABC hoopla.

The whole American football theme is not really my bag, but Alexandra’s personality makes up for it.
Mariah Carey announces tour dates for “Angels Advocate” tour
So, now it’s called the Angels Advocate tour not the Angels Cry tour and it will take off right after her New Year’s gig at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It’ll span a little more than a month and, as of now, it only consists of North American dates. She needs to get around the world with this one as a whole lot of people are waiting for her, never forgetting Australia. Dubai and Beirut again would be nice. Or maybe Port Ghalib. Click below for the tour dates.
V.V. Brown is going crazy…
Ok, we understand the concept of development. But from a horrible album one can develop towards anything. But the new stuff sounds better from the little snippet.
Bow ties with an edge…

Christopher Sherman has taken the old standard of a bow tie and galvanized it. This above is a GaGalicious take on the tie. Visit the site for more.
Premiere: Video: “Devil Made Me Do It” by RuPaul
We were hoping for a new album to come with the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, but it seems like she is still releasing singles from Champion, which is not bad. The album version’s a bit better. The video could also be better, but it’s nice to to see RuPaul out of drag (or in male drag we should say). Expect a myriad of remixes. or as she calls them: ru-mixes.
USB in couch form
We have probably annoyed everyone with our USB posts as we happen to be big USB aficionados. Our friends buy us USBs as gifts we have so much storage space we can put our entire lives on GBs. Well, now we want this couch that has a USB attachment. Yes, save you files on your couch in your living room. What more do you want?
Must-Watch: Video: “Always” by Muhsinah
Muhsinah doesn’t appear in the video, but this doesn’t stop this trippy jazz-flavored hip hop number to wow us into liking.

Legendary: Perfect Day
We’re having a perfect day, winter solace and all. It reminded us of this version of this song. This version was made for charity but Heather Small’s wailing changed the song all together and it brings back a lot. Lou Reed must’ve had the greatest of days when he wrote this.
