Don’t Quote Me, Vol. 300

“The plague of mankind is the fear and rejection of diversity: monotheism, monarchy, monogamy and, in our age, monomedicine. The belief that there is only one right way to live, only one right way to regulate religious, political, sexual, medical affairs is the root cause of the greatest threat to man”
- Thomas Szasz
Premiere: Video: “December Song (I Dreamed Of Christmas)” by George Michael
Ok, so it’s not his best and we are really not up in the holiness of the season but you gotta say that the gay knows how to a arrange a song. Especially a slow number.
Download: Music For December: Breezine
10Breezine is the last installation of the 2009 compilations. It features some tracks we have saved throughout the year. In short, it is basically the music we listen to. There is no specific concept to the album but it ranges on the stratosphere of mid-tempo and instrumentation that is less computerized and rawer. We hope you like this offering, it’s early so that you get it before the break and because we are going to be head to South Korea / Philippines in an hour or so. So, enjoy it and and give us some good tasty feedback. It’s a 14-hour flight so you better amuse us when we check.

Marilyn Manson dropped by record label!
One of the better ones in rock music (the heavier set) has been dropped. Interscope Records has let Marilyn Manson (the man and the band) go citing poor record sales. While this is obviously an advent of the MP3 generation, it might not be bad for artists like him/them because it will allow them to explore independent means for releasing and distributing their music, which, in turn, will allow them more creative freedom. We see it as a good thing for the man that never escapes controversy and, really, shouldn’t as he is one of the few music stars standing up for something these days.
Parent upset with Hannah Montana doll
2Wow. This is plain wow. This is what happens when you let the conservatives loose, they will go and find something wrong with every thing around them. The mother’s grammatical skills alone are not impressive at all, how is she supposed to decipher a song coming out of a barbie doll.
Download: “Put It In A Love Song” by Alicia Keys and Beyonce
3Beyonce and Alicia Key’s highly-touted collaboration is out on the leak and many are loving it. Although, it’s not a stellar track on first listen, but it’s quite a catchy track and it has “single” written all over it. It’ll probably be a big undeserved hit just because of both powerhouses behind it. Click here to read more.

Michael Jackson is most searched topic of 2009
1Michael Jackson has gone and broken another record posthumously. This time it’s on the Yahoo! search engine. The King of Pop is officially the most searched item of 2009, dethroning Britney Spears, who is now at number 5 on that chart. Click here to read the rest.
Janet Jackson performs on X-Factor
1Janet Jackson is doing all the promo she can to sell her greatest hits package titled Number Ones in the US and The Best in other place. It contains one new track, which is not going to draw in many people. So, she needs to put it out there. She’s not looking too good nowadays, her attire is too conservative. Her wardrobe needs a revamp or, maybe, another malfunction? You decide.

Lady GaGa falls hard in concert
1She fell harder than J.Lo on an AMA show. She’s new to concerts so, we forgive her. Anyway, she did look discombobulated when she stood again.
Kylie Minogue back in the studio with Stuart Price
5Kylie Minogue has recently announced that she is working on a new full-length studio album apart from her project Live In New York. On this disc, she is working with Stuart Price who, basically, did Madonna’s album Confessions On The Dance Floor. The collaboration is in full affect and the two are working on something great, apparently. A little dance can go a long way.
