Wine in new packaging…

1

A Swedish beverage company has come up with a new way of packaging wine without taking into consideration wine’s archaic design of bottling. Åkesson has come of with an eco-friendly, disposable way of markting wine with thick paper and not a box. It looks like your average orange juice packaging but there’s a lot of detail into it. They have also come up with designs for other types of alcoholic drinks. Click below to view.

Beyonce’s parents get divorced

1

The Knowles have filed for a divorce mainly from Tina’s side. A couple of months back a woman filed a paternity suit against Mathew Knowles, but we still don’t know if that’s the reason why the House of Dereon is in shambles. Kelly Rowland left him, now Tina Knowles. No word on Beyonce’s reaction and/or Solange’s. The two have allegedly had a tumultuous couple of months that ended in this Texas divorce.

Types of Space Invaders

We always have a good old time spotting space invaders whenever we travel (although they have been increasingly prevalent especially in London, New York City and Amsterdam). But, we didn’t know that there are so many kinds. Or maybe this is just a joke, but we spotted a rainbow and a two face. Has anyone seen one in the Middle East? The only one we know of is in Beirut.

The Christmas tree is a pagan, not christian

So, we have a certain effinity for Christmas, in an absolutely non-religious way as we are bonafide liberals. Maybe it’s because its a tradition that’s ever looming or it’s just pure materialistic fun. Also, Mariah’s Merry Christmas probably had to do with it. But, we just want to clarify that it has no theist roots. Actually, the theists took it and adapted it. Here’s a excerpt from Wiki: “The ancient pagans, Druids, Egyptians, Chinese, and Hebrews celebrated the Winter Solstice, (Dec. 21st, the day of the year that the Sun begins its ascent in the sky thereby ushering a fertile time of planting and bountiful harvests. Hence, the evergreen tree represented eternal life and the promise of replenishment during the cold winter solstice. Apples and other fruit were hung upon the tree to represent the plentiful food to come. Candles were lighted to symbolize the warmth and brightness of the sun. While the Christmas tree is generally associated with Christ, it predates this religious figure by many centuries.”
