What a gem to stumble upon. This is Sherri Shepherd’s reading of Madonna’s book Sex for Celebrity Autobiography. Pure hilarity!

Daisy Dares You visits Radio One
1In case you didn’t know, “Daisy Dares You is the stage name used by Daisy Coburn, a 16 year old pop artist from Essex. She has not yet released an album, but she is already garnering much media attention, and she has been profiled by The Times, the BBC and The Guardian as a young artist to watch for 2010. She is managed by Empire, and signed to Jive. She mainly uses social networking websites to broadcast her music, such as MySpace, where she posts mostly demos, and her YouTube page, where the video for her song ‘Daisy Dares You’ can be found. Her debut single will be available to download from February 21st 2010 and is called ‘Number One Enemy’, featuring UK rap artist Chipmunk. The video for this song has attracted around 50,000 views in just a day. The name “Daisy Dares You” is a direct reference to the character of the same name from the 90′s british television show ‘ZZZap!’” (via Wikipedia).

Rainbow shades filled with ink
Check out these rainbow shades that one can fill with ink to change the color. Aren’t they rad, as Lindsay would say?
Homer Simpson has been Pollockized

This is in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of The Simpsons.
Again: Music for January: Ampitup
3We are three days late but everyone’s been super busy nursing a hangover and if you aren’t, get one now. At any rate, this is our first offering for the new decade. 2010 starts with a burst of eclectic dance beats and some hardcore pop debauchery. This is not one with a concept, but more of celebratory fan mix of get-up-and-go sounds to start off the year with a boom of sorts. We hope you like it and as always, feedback, wherever sent, is our fuel.
We are all fans of Lady GaGa
4Gabriella Cilmi makes comeback with “On A Mission”
Australian singer Gabriella Cilmi is back, even when she didn’t leave, really. She’s 18 now and the promo pictures for her new album make sure you know it. She’s working with Xenomania (Sugababes) and Greg Kurstin (Kylie Minogue) on her sophomore album. The direction of the album is less rock and more dance. Click below to hear a sample.
Must-Watch: Paris Hilton on “I Get That A Lot”
1This is some funny shiz! We love the concept behind the show and we can’t believe she bumped into Darius McCrary from Family Matters! Every star should do that show.
Lady GaGa wears hat made out of her own hair!
By her own hair they mean her own wig (the same one she clipped and gave out to fans for the deluxe edition apparently). But, wow! This woman never ceases to amaze and she will go to any length to grab attention. We love her, as does the world (except extremists and the Westboro Baptist Church, of course). If she doesn’t win a Grammy, the awards show will jump the shark. Yeah, she’s that important! (Thanks Lynan).
Video preview of Sugababes’ “Wear My Kiss”
This looks exponentially fierce and the direction is great. The sound is sharp and in keeping with the album’s theme, from what we’ve heard of Sweet 7. Amelle is looking like a hot mess, we don’t know if that is because she actually looks it or because we hold her fully responsible for kicking out Keisha. It’s not the Sugababes anymore! Oh, and what the hell are they doing making Jade wear that hairdo because she is the newbie.

If she stops acting
Like a dirty spoiled child,
Maybe we will like.
Joan Rivers is upset with Costa Rican immigration!
How grandiose is it that she went to Larry King to complain?
Official cover for Rihanna single “Rude Boy”
5She’s really taking that nude tomboy look to its extreme. She is working the covers with hotness and much-appreciated sluttiness. We didn’t hear the song, mainly because the album is so shiteous. We have it one our iTunes here at Loft965.com headquarters (my Beirut bed), so we might just give it a spin. Lovely sleeve, though.
Premiere: Video: “Brothersport” by Animal Collective
Animal Collective’s Merriweather Post Pavilion is one of the most experimental and delightful albums of 2009. It’s a muddle, but it’s strong. It will make every hipster cry “Yes!” We liked its sonic confidence. This is the colorful new video to its new, dare we say, single.
Jill Scott reveals details for new album out soon!
Listen, there is good new and there is great news. This none of them. This is staggering news in our book for the thesaurus’s sake. Jill Scott has just announced that the next album, which is the fourth installment in here Words & Sounds series, is coming out in late Spring or early Summer of this year. We can’t be any happier and we know this’ll land on out “Top of” lists for a while. That’s not all: it’ll be called The Light Of The Sun: Words & Sounds Vol. 4. This is sugar in our bowl. We can’t wait to hear it.
The show must go on…
2 errors. 1 show. Good time.
New species of crab discovered that looks like a strawberry
Taiwanese biologists have discovered a new species of crab that looks like a strawberry and is very rare. Here’s the gist: “With a bright red shell covered with small white spots, the crab resembles a large strawberry. Scientists at the University say that the newly discovered species is similar to the previously discovered Neoliomera pubescens, which is native to the waters near Hawaii, Polynesia and Mauritius–but has a broader (1 inch), clam-shaped shell that makes it a distinct new species.”
