Google Buzz is here!
“Google Buzz is a social integration and messaging tool by Google, designed to integrate into the company’s web-based email program, Gmail. Shared links and messages show up in the user’s inbox. Buzz focuses on integrating photos, videos, and links as part of the ‘conversations’ aspects of Gmail like conversation threading.
Buzz allows users to choose to share publicly with the world or privately to a small group of friends each time they post. Picasa, Flickr, Google Reader, YouTube, Blogger, and Twitter are currently integrated. The creation of Buzz was seen by industry analysts as an attempt by Google to compete with social networking websites like Facebook and microblogging services like Twitter. Buzz also includes several interface and interaction elements from other Google products (e.g. Google Reader) such as the ability to like a post.” – Wiki
Premiere: Video: “We Are The World 25″ by Various Artists
The video’s out and it has a star-studded line-up. We are excited to catch a glimpse of Nikka Costa, if we are correct. It’s a huge entourage of stars and a lot of fun to spot some people out, even if some are unnecessary. Jeff Bridges anyone?

Exclusive: 5 Questions with Loft965: Shontelle
5We are very proud to announce a new post series. This will be a series of exclusive one-of-a-kind interviews with artists we feature on Loft965.com. Shontelle rose to fame with her radio-friendly hit “T-Shirt” and is now ready to wow the world with her second album. We had a little electronic chat with her and this is how it went.
1. Loft965.com loved “Battle Cry” and we can’t wait for the new material. What can we expect of the new album, when will it be released and what is the title?
“Thank you! That song means so much to me because it so Motivational. My new album will be released in Spring 2010 and is titled “No Gravity” (also an track title written by me).”
2. Your new single “Licky (Under The Covers)” samples “Licky” by Larry Tee. Were you fan of that song and what was the inspiration behind incorporating it into the track?
“LOL! I was a huge fan of the funny, naughty little video for the original on Youtube. A track was sent to me by DJ Frank E without verses but the hook using the Larry Tee sample was in and the beat was so dope I wished I could walk into a club and hear it that same night! We called up Sean Garrett and he added the craziest verses and I jumped on it right away.”
3. What is your favorite color and why?
“Yellow. It’s the most vibrant and friendly color in IMO. It reminds me of the sun and my favorite flower, the yellow rose. I’m from Barbados where it’s always golden and sunny so maybe that has something to do with it?”
4. Yes, your music is also heavily-influenced by Barbados. If you had to describe the new album, No Gravity, in five words, what would they be?
“Improved. Sexy. Inspirational. Cathartic. Fun.”
5. We love quotes, what is your favorite quote?
“Keep moving forward” – Walt Disney
Shontelle’s second album No Gravity comes out on April 16th, 2010.
Legendary: “Fast As You Can” by Fiona Apple
1Seeing this video for the first time, it was a breath of fresh air. The beat was unclaimed, the video was edgy and uncompromising. Still, to this day, this effort is unsurpassed.

1Toni Braxton’s last delay of her sixth album Pulse is not another buzz-builder or record-company-flip. It’s actually for the good of the eagerly-awaited new album. Seven tracks out of the 10 on the album have leaked across the internet. All of you might remember the slew of tracks that leaked a few months ago. So, Braxton is not only making new tracks for the album, which includes collaborations with Trey Songz, Robin Thicke and Usher, but also to coincide with her new reality show Braxton Family Values, which is set to include the drama of former-flop of a band The Braxtons and the sister.

Alexander McQueen commits suicide!
1Following in the footsteps of his best friend Isabella Blow, British designer Alexander has committed suicide. From the Daily Mail: “ British fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead after taking his own life. The 40-year-old committed suicide just days after the death of his mother, Joyce, last week. His death also comes just three years after his close friend, Isabella Blow – who plucked him from obscurity and helped him become a star – killed herself. McQueen, who was christened Lee but used his middle name for his label, was found at his luxury flat in Green Park, central London. It is believed he hanged himself.”
