Aside from the hits, Alesha Dixon is not the only salvageable thing from Mis-Teeq. Enter Sabrina Washington, a former member of Mis-Teeq. She is the UK’s answer to LeToya Luckett. Well, she managed to land a record deal and is prepared to take over the world (maybe?) with her first single “OMG (Oh My God).” The single samples Snap!’s “Rhythm Is A Dancer” and has already gotten the video treatment which we featured a while ago. The single will be out March 22, 2010 and the album will drop a little later titled Dirty Pop.
Nadia Ali is not over her Embers album, but that doesn’t stop her from collaborating with other acts. This is a new track called “Try” with Schiller.
The audio from Madonna hasn’t been up to par, but the visual is still sometimes interesting. Especially when it’s not done for television stations and there is no obligation to satisfy the mainstream and make them part with their cash. Kylie Minogue has expressed interest in starting up her own family and making some more Minogues. This probably comes following Dannii’s pregnancy. Popdirt reports: “Kylie Minogue was smiling when she was photographed arriving at her management company on Thursday (February 18) in London, England. The 41-year-old singer, who is dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso, tells The Mirror she’s hoping to start a family. “It won’t happen just yet but soon I hope, it would be lovely,” Minogue told the tabloid. “I’ve got a new album coming out – I’ll have to get that out of the way first.” Kylie added that marriage is “not in my immediate plans”, but that she’s “in love”.”
As if a really weak single and a down-spiraling career are not enough, Jennifer Lopez has been dropped from her record label, which put her in the forefront of the pop world. Sony Music has announced that it has parted ways with J.Lo. The “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” singer has been ailing in the pop department. Her single “Louboutins” failed to make a dent on the charts and her next album Love? is not that anticipated, at least when t comes to us and who is around us. Hey is what Benny Medina, Jennifer Lopez’s representative, said: “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone Sony for all that they accomplished together.” It seems that the fate of her next music installation has been put to a halt.
