Silly rabbit! Whoever wrote this review sounds stupid. How could she not have a single hit when her first single is currently #3 on the Billboard R&B charts and will likely reach #1 by next week? Whatever happened to objective journalism? Anyway, the REAL STORY is that the album has several hits, namely, Everything To Me, Here I Am, Love All Over Me, Mirror, and Superman.

don’t be disrespectful. first of of Monica has 12 top ten singles and out of those 12 7 have reached number 1. she very successful and respected in the music industry. she is also one of the most under rated and gifted voices on the planet. and to make it in the music industry the “american” charts is the place to be. for example leona was ok in the uk but her career became what is is today because she was able to be successful in america.

Darling, I doubt you are. What does that have to do with appreciating good music? Do you have to be American to do that? Anyway, I’m not even a Monica fan but I can appreciate the sounds I heard on Still Standing. She has already convinced me to purchase this album. As for not having a single hit…I beg to differ. Everything to Me, Superman, Mirror and Here I Am all sound like hits to my trained ears. It is so sad that you even have a website to subject us to your inferior views on rhythm and blues music. The only thing inferior is your grammar. I have all her album and the last one, aside frome “Sideline Ho,” was a disaster. This first single might be in the top 3 of its genre but it’s not that good. That is my opinion. If you don’t like it you can disagree. I am not telling not to buy it.
Wow, if Sideline Ho is the only song you feel wasn’t a disaster, then there definitely is a problem…….I do have several tracks from that album still in my iTunes, including that one, but Gotta Move on is my favorite.
I’m also a Monica fan. In all honesty, with exception to MOST of her singles…..all of her albums/tracks have been pretty much mediocre.
And for the most part, it’s hard for ANY R & B track to make a dent internationally, IF they even become a hit in their home country.
I think Monica’s experienced the typical success of an R & B artist that hasn’t/isn’t doing Pop cross over. If you can think of some, please list them, I’d definitely like to check them out.

Sideline Ho was a great song, so was Hell No and Getaway. No, the last effort was not what we expect from her but her talents are uneniable. This new album showcases her amazing voice and how she has grown as an artist.

I think whoever downs an artist is a hater. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but sometimes people need to respect another. I like Monica and all of her albums I just think she should needs to motivate herself and do a lot of concerts, tours, and endorsements deals to get more viewers and buyers. Instance I really do not care that much about Beyonce but I give her that credit for her ambitious drive. She is on the go but sometimes she holla to damn much for me and her ass is not that big so people need to stop tripping.
I agree with you, but if you saw her show, I doubt that it’s not her being motivated. It was some strange/delayed decisions by management. There were a few songs, where we saw the recording in progress which were pretty good, that didn’t make it to the album. I definitely could have done without Mirror, Believing in Me, and definitely Stay or Go. The last one is a steaming pile of crap.
As far as Beyonce, Beyonce isn’t really Rand B anymore and if Monica started churning out pop dance tunes and bouncing around all over the place, I wouldn’t be a fan anymore, it’s not her.
Yeah whoever wrote this critique obviously didn’t listen to the album and sounds a little bit jealous for whatever reason. Its a fact that Monica has been in the game for 15 years and still delivers hits. The reviews from real musically inclined individuals seems to disagree with your crass statements and notes that the album is hot. SMH some people are sad get a life dear.
The album is pretty dope, But “One in a lifetime” is probably the best cross over record to get her on all the charts not just R&B … Either way she should go “Gold” at least its hard to get Platinum status these days …Her Hard work wont go unrewarded she’s a Baby Vet in the game.

Monica is a baby vet who has had multi platinum success, Miss thang was a classic R&B album and “The Boy Is Mine”, is and always will be a classic. “So Gone” was a number one smash and as for the new album it is a solid effort for this day and age, when punks like you would rather listen to the electro vocoder trash that is forced on us by the record labels today! Go away and learn something about real music then come back fool! By the way your English is very poor, go back to school!
