The album is set to drop in the fourth quarter of this year. Yes, we are getting a whole new album this year. Some people release three albums and then release a greatest hits collection. Not the Gaga, she is on a roll. Also, in other news, Lady Gaga will celebrate her 24th birthday by visiting the dingiest bar that smells like urine. She said that and we love her.

Contrary to what many believed, Janet Jackson is not working on a new album. Her new single is “Nothing” and it’s a one-off for the soundtrack of her new film. There have been no plans for a new album as she decides whether to sign on to another record label or go completely independent, which is a brave consideration from her part and should reap her many benefits. “There was a time where I was actually in the studio and I was recording, but I’m not working on an album,” she says. “There have been a lot of record labels that have asked me to sit down and talk with them, but I don’t know if I want to do something completely independent, or go with a major.” Discipline was Jackson’s first disc on Def Jam after she left her longtime label Virgin.

The internet is rife with rumors that Beyonce is pregnant with Jay-Z. We wonder if her announced hiatus is attributed to this alleged news piece. A “solid source” told Mediatakeout.com, which prides itself as “the most visited urban website in the world,” that Beyonce and Jay-Z are both “doing fine and resting.” Jay-Z is said to be “EXTREMELY happy to be having his first child with Beyonce.” What do you think?
Update: a rep from the Beyonce camps said these claims are untrue.
