A very nice person has sent us a mini-picture of what is allegedly and possibly the cover of Kate Nash’s muchly-awaited sophomore album My Best Friend Is You. From the looks of it, there has been a lot of professional work poured into the sleeve so it looks bona fide. We love it and we hope to get you the official version very soon in good quality.

Introducing… Alexa Wilding
2Alexa Wilding is a New York City-based singer-songwriter. Upon the record’s self-release, Wilding was named “one of music’s hippest chicks” in the NY Post, alongside Juliette Lewis and Au Revoir Simone. She was featured as Nylon’s “Band Crush,” Page Six Magazine’s “Who’s That Girl,” and as one to watch in Dossier, Time Out NY, NY Press, and the UK’s Wears the Trousers. Her song “Black Diamond Day” was licensed to Morgans Hotel Group, to be included on a compilation with Kings of Leon and Florence and the Machine. Wilding also lends her music to the films and runway shows of Finnish design house, IVANAhelsinki, often appearing in designer Paola Suhonen’s films. The pair recently collaborated on a performance at Art Basel-Miami, in conjunction with the upcoming fashion and art publication, Love Contemporary.

Nicole Scherzinger explains Pussycat Dolls breakup
2The lead singer and lead trouble maker Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls has broken her silence on the issue of the breakup. Apparently, she’s the only standing member of the group, which is not a surprise since she gave everyone hell. We don’t think everyone wanted to do solo projects, we think she bitched every single one of them out. The Pussycat Dolls without Melody Thornton is like the Spice Girls without Geri. Or something like that.

4Vivian Green burst onto the scene with her sultry track “Emotional Rollercoaster” at the beginning of the past decade. That single was so good that it built a lot of hype around the album, which didn’t measure up to that one single track. Now, she is back with this song. Xanadu or Xanadon’t?

Venomous conservatives not gaga for Lady Gaga
This had to come at some point. These are the same people that wanted to ban Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna and more. She’s not GG Allen here, but she rattled some feathers and we love it. It wasn’t that risque, it’s actually caricature-ish pop. Who can do art or speak of progress and please the conservatives these days? They honestly need to shut up and put up because this is no time to go backwards. Gaga is merely an iconoclast of the times, the wave is much bigger, sweet “midwest and under the bible belt” Sandy. Oh, and, of course it had to be on the most accurate and non-partisan network – Fox.
