Video Premiere: “Telephone” by Lady GaGa featuring Beyonce

The video is finally here earlier than was expected after the postponing. There’s a 10 minute version apparently floating around somewhere (update: found it!), but this is what will usually get played on TV stations. We expected a little more to tell you the truth. That prison dance sequence got a little too long and Beyonce is did a good job. The last line is probably a take on the movie Thelma & Louise. It needed a little more absurdity and electronic flinches. Still, there’s nothing like it out there. Does GaGa’s face look super-imposed on a dancers body in the bikini routine or is it just foundation contrast?

Film: Alice In Wonderland

3

Normally, we don’t ever head out to see movies on 3D with big Hollywood blockbuster written all over them. It’s just not our thing. In fact, cinema in most places rarely carry anything we are interested in seeing, art house and foreign films just don’t get that kind of exposure. But, we were gently coerced into seeing this with a whole gaggle of queens. Yes, it was a weekday and we were on a vacay. The result is as expected. A hugely-produced mock-up of a classic. Not the book, but the Disney animated film. A bunch of top-notch stars, “amazing” special effects and a new angle on an old story couldn’t save this hodgepodge of overproduction and manufactured sap. To top all that off we have to sit through Anne Hathaway’s incredulously hideous acting.

More high quality stills from Beyonce and Lady GaGa’s video “Telephone”

In bid to stop the little monsters from getting angry for the delay of the video. Some stills from the video featuring never-before-seen bits have surfaced in the blogosphere. They are all aesthetically pleasing especially the one with cans as rollers. Click below for the GaGa pictures.

D’Angelo arrested for allegedly soliciting sex!

2

Neo-soul star and video hunk D’Angelo has been arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from a female police officer impersonating a street hooker. Yes, some police officer left all other crimes and went after a man with a boner. First, prostitution is the world’s oldest profession and, really, should not be illegal. Second, this female officer dressed up in her whore garb and went on the streets looking to catch someone, isn’t that called entrapment? Seriously, so people need to get off their moral high horse and recognize a real crime when the see one. That’s just a whole lotta time and energy and money wasted onto something that is unstoppable. The officer should have been pleased that a soul master who oozes sex lie D’Angelo offered to have a romp with her.

Official cover for Toni Braxton’s new album “Pulse”

3

We woke up this morning to receive the glorious artwork of Toni Braxton’s new album Pulse in our inbox. We loved every bit of it. Although the two other covers that surfaced were also sexy, we love this one. Search for them in the Loft’s search engine. But, this is ethereal, timeless and pretty. We are glad Toni Braxton is back to titillate. Let’s hope there are more great songs on this album apart from what has leaked. “Make My Heart” is stomper!

Lady GaGa and Beyonce’s video for “Telephone” postponed!

Yes, this will make many little monsters unhappy, but the video for “Telephone” featuring Woman Of The Decade Beyonce has been pushed back. The video was supposed to surface yesterday but a message on GaGa’s website said it ain’t so with now future release date. They just urged the fans to keep checking back to know when it will make a debut.

Video: “Silver Soul” by Beach House

One of our favorites of this year, Beach House, have put out a video for one of the best songs of their album Teen Dream. “Silver Soul” is a woozy little number with all the experimental melodrama one can ingest. Lovely. Beach House had videos created for each track off their Sub Pop album. This video for “Silver Soul” was directed by Beach House’s singer, Victoria Legrand.

Sean Hayes comes out of the closet!

1

Another one for the “duh!” files. Sean Hayes, who played Will & Grace’s flamboyant flamer Jack McFarland, has come out publically and officially. He tells The Advocate that he didn’t feel the need to come out because he wanted to be believable as an actor. Apparently, a magazine cover in dry times is a good enough reason to come out. At any rate, we’re not trying to hate but when Will & Grace first came out it was still unheard of for someone to be out unless you are Ellen or your were outed like George Michael or Stephen Gately (and not American). So, it would have been nice if it was then not now. Anyway, we’ve known since we snuck into an indie cinema in our young age to watch Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss.
