It’s one thing to come out for the good of the community or to end one of the world’s oldest silences, but it’s another to do for a career boost. As we see in this video, Ricky Martin uses his world-renowned good look to reach a different audience. Not the time for it really, especially when the civil rights movement in its midst. But, he doesn’t matter anyway and has been made redundant in the pop world for a while now. The message of emancipation as tattoos are just laughable. It’s like he felt out of the closet into a circuit party. Sad.

Your homophobia and ignorance are sad,
go trash some other openly gay celebrity.
openly yesterday? Homophobia? lol. you’re tragic, know who you are talking to before you do so.
This video was made for Ricky Martin’s Black & White Tour in 2007 – it is not new and has nothing to do with Ricky’s “coming out”!
“…redundant in the pop world for a while now”…amazes me how other artists can take time out to create new music – any artist will tell you it takes at least a year, if not two, to create something worthwhile …Ricky however seems to be expected to have a new CD available twice a year and is “redundant” if he disappears in order to be in the studio!
Ricky’s new CD will hopefully be available by the end of 2010!
