Janet Jackson might play Eartha Kitt in new film
News just in that full-fledged actress Janet Jackson might play Eartha Kitt in a new biopic. “I adore her and I had the opportunity to spend time with her,” says Jackson. ”She had expressed wanting me to portray her and was excited about the idea of me portraying her in a film.”
“If that’s really going to happen, I’m not quite sure, but I hope it does,”says Jackson. ”What an icon. She had gone through so much – not just her adulthood, but her childhood.”
Let’s hope it happens.

Natalie Merchant performs “Nursery Rhyme Of Innocence And Experience” live on soundcheck
Natalie Merchant’s new album is a little hard to digest. It’s called Leave Your Sleep and its an ode to lesser-known and historic nursery rhymes. We like her voice, so it is like butter to us, but it requires deep listening for a great understanding of this project. Plus, it’s a two disc set, which makes it even harder to crack.

Cyndi Lauper debuts new album “Memphis Blues”
1Cyndi Lauper is really into making concept album. First she did the covers album At Last, then the acoustic folksy album The Body Acoustic, then we got the gay-dance themed Bring Ya To The Brink and now she has opted for a full-out blues album titled Memphis Blues. This is the cover to the new album and we all remember when she covered Roy Orbison’s “I Drove All Night.” So, this is one to look forward to.

Erykah Badu announces tour, gets Janelle Monae to open for her
Apart from her stint as a headliner in Lilith Fair, Erykah Badu is embarking on a tour all on herself. Of course, she will have an opening act – some of which are bigger than expected. N.E.R.D, for one and also the fabulous Archandroid Janelle Monae. Click below for the concert dates. We hope to catch one as Erykah Badu is the greatest live act we have seen, and that’s saying something as we have seen Michael Jackson among other greats.

1Robyn’s album and cover art for “Body Talk Pt1″ has leaked!
Robyn’s tracks are so in-demand that all the songs leaked individually. Now, the entire album is out if you collect all the songs. The album is sexy as expected and the album cover is fun, although she could have done more for her return. Body Talk PT1 is the first installation of three albums. Good to hear some fresh beats from Scandiqueen Robyn. Click here to investigate this leak.

Alphabeat mathematically challenge Peter Andre
1Nice little rehashing on their song. The answer was easy and we love the fact that Peter Andre had a dumb answer because that explains Jordan. Yes, we went there.
