Summer is here!

Our favorite season and the time for fun is here. Summer is upon us and, boy, are we happy. Time for the dirty beats and taking off your clothes. We are feeling the sunshine and the splash. Are you? If not, there are some good sounds coming your way from the Loft to get you up, out and going!

Kylie Minogue’s new album contains no ballads, for the feet

When Kylie’s press release stated that this is a return to Kylie pure dance roots, they weren’t joking. Ms. Minogue usually hides a slow number here or there on each album. This one, Aphrodite, is devoid of a single slow number. All of them are tracks to rattle your senses and make you dance to death. Yes, it’s old school Kylie with all the fun poptastic show-pony tunes. We have a feeling that this album will be  closest to Light Years, which is one of Kylie’s best. The first song did not catch our ear at first listen, but once someone mentioned that it sounded like “I Believe In You” we were hooked. It’s called Aphrodite because Kylie is the goddess of sex and love, biatches.

Video Premiere: “Gettin’ Over You” by David Guetta featuring Fergie, LMFAO and Chris Willis

Oh, David Guetta. The people who like his new stuff are beyond me. But, they are probably the people whose favorite songs correspond with what’s atop the charts. This intro riff is taken from “I Got A Feeling” and to re-instate the BEP sentiment we get Fergie on the track. And then there’s the little loop bit that’s just out there and not going anywhere really. So sad.
