Don’t Quote Me, Vol. 406

“And you ask for forgiveness
You’re asking too much
I have sheltered my heart in a place you can’t touch
I don’t believe when you tell me your love is real
Because you don’t know much about heaven boy
If you have to hurt to feel”

- Sarah McLachlan on “Forgiveness

Moby slams homophobic group ad!

What Moby had to say on his official website: “Oh, some people have drawn my attention to the fact that a homophobic ad campaign is using ‘Porcelain’. Needless to say we:

a-didn’t approve this
and
b-have contacted them with a very firm ‘cease and desist’ letter.

It goes without saying that I’d never let an anti-gay marriage campaign use my music.

Ciara’s “Basic Instinct” comes out August 10th

Ciara’s new album that is set to “make or break” her career, is set for a late summer release of August 10th, 2010. This wreaks of a chance of an album delay, but Ciara wants to get back on top and do it fast, probably before other stars release albums. Let’s see what happens of it.

Jada Pinkett discusses open relationship with Will Smith

The Fresh Prince’s Queen, Jada Pinkett has been rumored to be in open marriage with husband Will Smith for years now. In a recent radio interview, she alluded to the “free” nature of their relationship. “We always have people that were attracted to that we talk about,” said Pinkett. “That don’t stop just because your married. Somebody’s always gonna catch your eye. That’s real. Somebody’s gonna always be prettier than me, and somebody’s always gonna be more in awe of him than me and he gonna be like [in Will's voice] ‘yo she really like me,’ but as far as somebody being right for us…is there somebody right for a nice night? Maybe. But somebody that can sustain our life and sustain what we’ve built together, absolutely not!” Not mad at that at all.

Lady Gaga finished with her third album!

Lady Gaga is allegedly finished with her third album and the follow-up to the Fame Monster. The Gagalicious is out and ready to bring on more beats for us to dance around the disco stick. We would hate to see “Dance In The Dark” and “Monster” not become single, but new material is always good. Let’s hope we see and autumn release for it. What do you think it should be called?

Michael Jackson makes a billion, to release new album!

When Michael Jackson (or his estate, rather) recieved a $250 million recording deal from Sony despite no longer being alive, our jaws dropped. Looks like we have to pick our jaw from off the floor in order to drop them once again—thanks to the ravenous appetite for Michael Jackson music and memorabilia from MJ fans new, old and obsessive, the King of Pop has earned one billion dollars in the year following his death.

Jerry Seinfeld has unkind words for Lady Gaga

4

Former-comedian and current has-been Jerry Seinfeld recently took to the press to make fun of Lady Gaga’s love of press. Jerry went on a tirade in which he says he hates the Gaga, yes as deep as “hate,” and that he is mad she was allowed in his section at the game when he wasn’t there himself. Jerry, keep to your jokes and get out of things you know nothing about, like pop culture. Click below to read his tirade against the lovely Gaga.

Lauryn Hill makes rare live appearance, performs “Doo Wop (That Thing)”

It sounds like utter crap, but at least she made the effort to get out of bed and do something with her one-album solo career. Really sad to see someone collapse onto themselves. It’s exactly what is happening to Christina Aguilera now.

SiA’s album gets rave reviews!

Yahoo! Music called it one of the top albums of the year and blogs everywhere are ranting and raving about it. We said it a while ago, SiA’s album We Are Born is the only album that we will pay money for. Why? Because she has consistently done great album and in recent interviews she threatened us with a songwriting hiatus for other artists, so we do all we could to help out. We bought it and although it didn’t come with album artwork (which we are disappointed about) we love every track on there. Lovely little album from the queen of organic pop.
