It’s been exactly a year since our beloved Michael Jackson has passed away and pop hasn’t been the same since. As if his passing wasn’t enough, people started insulting playing “Billie Jean” and “Beat It” on repeat as if the King was only good for two hits, or anything that came from Thriller. But, his legacy continues and the real musicologists know that he is more than just an 80s’ fad or fading star.

Michael Jackson turned the world upside down with pop music, that is something not many, if any, people can say. We miss him dearly and we can’t escape his presence in the pop universe and his creative soul. Let’s hope utilize what he left us on earth for the good and advancement of the art. MJ will never be forgotten in our hearts.
