One of our favorite artists got married to rapper Mario Treadway, known as MC Souleye on May 22. The grammy award winning Canadian singer-songwriter confirmed the news on Twitter. The couple were wed in a private ceremony with family at their L.A. home, just a week before Morissette celebrated her 36th birthday. The couple have been dating since 2009, and it’s the first marriage for both. Morissette’s rise to fame came quickly after her debut album “Jagged Little Pill” was released by MCA records, which became the best-selling debut album by a female artist in the U.S, selling over 30 million units worldwide.
