Visit Montenegro!

2

We had the privilege of visiting some cities in Montenegro on our Adriatic trip and felt compelled enough to write about this undiscovered beautiful destination. It’s on of the world’s youngest countries, but its beauty rivals any other European destination. The way the mountains sit around each other with seawater all around them in one of the most historical bays in the world. Simply breathtaking and truly one of the most marvelous peoples we have been to. Glad to make Montenegro #59.

Björk talks about new material!

Bjork is not taking a big hiatus as previously felt. She is already working on new material that she hinted about recently. She said: “I am working on a project that I started over a year ago and has grown a bit in the process. It’s gotten quite large in scope, actually, so nothing will probably come of it until next year or the year after. I am superstitious and would rather not talk about it—often, if I talk too much about a project before completing it, it implodes. So I’d rather not talk about it.”

She’s also working on the soundtrack for the movie of the Finnish cartoon Moomins. Exciting but let’s hope it gets an earlier release date, I am not waiting until 2012 for this shit.

Wyclef Jean wants to be President of Haiti

“Days before the Aug. 7 deadline, Haitian-American superstar Wyclef Jean has confirmed toTime.com that he will run for President of Haiti in this year’s Nov. 28 election. “If not for the earthquake, I probably would have waited another 10 years before doing this,” Jean said. “If I can’t take five years out to serve my country as President…then everything I’ve been singing about, like equal rights, doesn’t mean anything.” Jean may announce his candidacy on Thursday’s Larry King Live once he has arrived in Port-au-Prince from New York.” – EW.com

“Nouveau riche (French for “new rich”), or new money, refers to a person who has acquired considerable wealth within his or her generation.[1] This term is generally to emphasize that the individual was previously part of a lower socioeconomic rank, and that such wealth has provided the means for the acquisition of goods or luxuries that were previously unobtainable. The term can also be used in a derogatory fashion, for the purposes of social class distinction, to describe persons with newfound wealth as lacking the experience or finesse to use wealth in the same manner as old money—persons from families who have been wealthy for multiple generations.”
