Video Premiere: “Promise This” by Cheryl Cole

The new video from Cheryl Cole‘s somewhat rushed sophomore effort has come available. The album is slated for an end of the year release… just in time to compete with our favorite Girl Aloud Nadine Coyle. This is just OK to us. But, we originally hated “Fight For This Love” and then grew to love the entire album and its first single included.  So, it has growing potential is what we are trying to say.

We never thought we would see the day that the worst album sleeve of the year, up until now, would be our one and only Mariah Carey‘s. This is the ugliest shit we have seen in a while. She must be crazy to approve this artwork. We weren’t too excited for this project but now we are kind of offended that this is the best visual she could give us for Merry Christmas II You. Sad.

Nadine Coyle begins promotional tour for “Insatiable”

Our favorite Girl Aloud, Nadine Coyle, is ready and set to go ahead with the promotion of her debut album Insatiable. The lead single of the same name got mixed reviews, but that  isn’t stopping this lovely. Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole found it to be a great opportunity for her to cram in another album right before the other Girls Aloud get feisty. Let’s hope this one has some gems on it.

Sacha Baron Cohen is set to play Freddie Mercury in biopic

Yes, news just in is that the man behind Bruno, Borat and Ali G will play the legendary Freddie Mercury of Queen in a biopic slated for 2011. We are really not OK with that as we remember that when he hosted some MTV awards show back in the day he made an insensitive AIDS joke about the Queen frontman that was unnecessary and disturbing. We know we are sounding like conservatives, but that was just crass and untimely for a subject so delicate.
