Blue Note recording artist Amos Lee has been handpicked by British songstress Adele to hit the road with her for her sold-out U.K. tour in September. During a Stateside visit, Adele and Lee bumped into one other in Nashville, after which Adele posted two live YouTube clips of Lee on her blog, saying “I’ve loved [Amos] for ages. Just watched this and I fell a bit more in love with him all over again! Check it out.”
Yet another single from Sophia Somajo. This is the 4 th single from her debut album Laptop Diaries in a brand new single recording!
We have to say we are very fond of Omar Afuni’s debut album Resurrected. It is a great mix of pop-conscious beats and dance anthems. It’s very much worth the download and is completely free for now! So head over to Omar Afuni’s official website and download it now!
Not too big on the music, but this is exactly the kind of video we like – suspended in stasis!
The record features previous haunting single ‘Night Air’, plus the arrestingly evocative, current single ‘Lady Luck’ and fan favourite ‘Gravity’. Click below for the complete tracklist.
We forgot a little about the power of this song. Smooth like a smoothie.
This is a song that, when you first heard it, transformed the mood you were in to a thousand times better. It filled dance floors and ushered in a new era in dance music where soul was an acceptable accompaniment. The beat on this is so infectious and could turn a party around, until everyone started playing it.
International newcomer Oh Land has gone viral. The video for her single “Sun Of A Gun” from her second self-titled album has reached 5 million views which is very impressive for an up and coming artist, who was virtually unknown outside of Scandinavia a couple of weeks ago. The song is catchy, but the video is also very cool. Click here to view the video.
Another single from Aloe Blacc’s second album Good Things. We are liking the throwback!
If you follow this blog, you now we love us some Jamie Woon. This is another track from his album Moonwriting. It’s a very scrumptious number with soulful vocals. We swoon for Jamie Woon.
This is a mixture between a prediction and an observation. We all know that RuPaul used the last episodes of both previous season to makes the videos for “Cover Girl (Put The Bass In Your Walk)” and “Jealous Of My Boogie,” respectively. However, although she hasn’t run out of single to release from Champion, news is out that RuPaul’s new album Glamazon is going to be released in April, right when the third season ends, which can only mean on thing: the lead single from Glamazon will be taped on the last episode. So exciting!
One half of Angus & Julia Stone is ready to unleash her solo material, which doesn’t stray too far away from the sybling’s group. This appears on her album The Memory Machine. We are about to download it to give it a listen or two.
