If you don’t know this, you don’t do anything.
Some unsubstantiated new has surfaced about Tori Amos’s new release. Some people are saying that the new album will be called Reckless Night, which is too mundane, but we will go with it. We know she has been working on The Light Princess musical adamantly so this weirds us out as to the time of the release. Anyway, we love anything from Tori, even if it’s alleged.
Oh, how beautiful this song is. Goose bumps!
In May 2009, three fresh-faced teenagers, Piero Barone (17), Ignazio Boschetto (16), and Gianluca Ginoble (16), appeared on the popular Italian talent show “Ti Lascio Una Canzone” and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of the Neapolitan standard “O Sole Mio.” The boys, who won the competition easily, decided their group needed a name. “Il Volo,” meaning “flight,” was chosen to signify the feeling that these three young tenors were about to spread their wings and fly.
It’s times like these when we swoon for anything from the ubiquitous Fiona Apple. The rawness of her voice, the sullenness of her lyrics and the churn of her beat. We are in dire need for some new Fiona Apple material as the heart ain’t dandy without it. So, we went on a rampage to find any new material or things we hadn’t heard of and we found this great blog that has compiled 15 of her greatest covers versions, ranging from Bill Withers to Billie Holiday. Great find.
Christina Aguilera is still over doing it. Missy, you don’t have to grunt on every song, just make it soulful.
Mya has been missing in action for a while, but she was recording her new sixth album K.I.S.S., which stands for Keep It Simple & Sexy. This time around she is not stepping out of her territory that much, but the track “Fabulous Life” is a club banger with a no-qualms attitude to being fabulous. It brings back a little 80s’ beats with its synth mentality. But, it is very much a put-you-make-up-on-before-clubbing track that will get you up and get you going.
Who run the world? Girls.
